    Help, I Have Dueling Remotes

Now that I have 2 of these in my house, using the remote to control one ends up controlling the other one as well. This will be really bad if I end up buying unwanted movies that wastes money and bandwidth and interferes with the movie I want to watch. I'm hoping there is a way to assign the remote to a box. I will end up with 3 separate boxes, so I would need to assign 3 separate remotes. Does such a capability exist?

I can't tell you exactly what to do, as I'm on the road right now and can't put my "hands on" the system, but I can point you in the right direction.

Open then battery cover to the remote and you will see that there are jumpers/switches that will let you choose 1 of 4 frequencies. After you change the frequency you nave to "pair" the remote with the target receiver. This may mean you need to power OFF your other receivers temporarily (I've not had 2 Vudus in the house at the same time yet). Here are the pairing directions I have (may need to be updated):
    1. Make sure the RF antenna is seated properly and connected in the back of the Vudu box.
    2. Reboot the system or power cycle the Vudu box.
    3. Once you see the blue "vudu" splash logo come up, put the remote control into pairing mode as follows:
      1. Point the remote control towards your Vudu box.
      2. Hold down the "Home" button and press the "back" button four times in succession.
      3. You will notice the small red LED light at the tip of the remote control blink in two second intervals.
    4. Wait until the box boots up fully into the "Home" or main menu screen. You should see an on screen message asking you to complete the pairing process by
      1. Holding down the "Home" button and pressing the "back" button four times in succession.
      2. Scroll the scroll wheel forward and back. You should get a confirmation on screen message telling you that you have successfully paired the remote control.
    5. If you don't succeed on the first attempt, try again.

Thanks Ed! I figured it was something like that. I saw the switches when I put the batteries in. I just didn't know what to do on the box side of things.

I've made this "sticky', but it should be in the FAQ also.
