    3D Movies on VUDU

I've seen some recent commercials advertising some new 3D Movies coming out.

Do you think VUDU will give us 3D Movies?

Will we need to get 3D glasses to watch them or will VUDU just add another dimension to their HDX format for direct viewing?

You mean like Starz does? They have a PPV that is free for how to make the 3D glasses out of cardboard, clear plastic, and colored sharpie's. And then you can do the PPV on the Hanna Montana Live 3D concert.

I am still waiting for the neural interface....

Autostereoscopy is a method of displaying three-dimensional images that can be viewed without the use of special headgear or glasses on the part of the user. These methods produce depth perception in the viewer even though the image is produced by a flat device.
Several technologies exist for autostereoscopic 3D displays. Currently most of such flat-panel solutions are using lenticular lenses or parallax barrier. If the viewer positions their head in certain viewing positions, they will perceive a different image with each eye, giving a stereo image. Consequently, eye strain and headaches are usual side effects of long viewing exposure to autostereoscopic displays that use lenticular lens or parallax barriers. These displays can have multiple viewing zones allowing multiple users to view the image at the same time. Other displays use eye tracking systems to automatically adjust the two displayed images to follow the viewer's eyes as they move their head.
A wide range of organisations have developed autostereoscopic 3D displays, ranging from experimental displays in university departments to commercially available displays. Examples include: Alioscopy, Apple, Dimension Technologies, Fraunhofer HHI, Holografika, i-Art, NewSight, Philips[1] (see WOW VX), SeeFront, SeeReal Technologies, Spatial View, and Tridelity. Sharp also claim to have the technology, although not for commercial sale at the moment.[2]

I just noticed last night that VUDU added Amityville Horror 3-D, although I don't have classes I am interested to try it out once I do pick some up. If you end up watching if before I do, let me know how the 3-D was.

Yeah I remember they were showing that at my local theater in 3-D. That would be cool if they added a 3-D version of Journey To The Center of The Earth, but either way I've already added it to my wishlist.

What is Directv? Is that some sort of TV service that works only when it is not raining?

I can't answer your question because it never rains in California.
