Re: DO NOT UNLINK ULTRAVIOLET! IT'S GLITCHED!

Ok but what about a new user with no linked services under them? They still get this error when trying to add their UV account I created to their vudu account. Any ideas how to fix this?

Ok so the problem is when I unlinked, VUDU recognized it as unlinked, but if you go to UV it is still linked.

So first go to VUDU and make sure it is unlinked on their page. Make sure you sign out afterward

Then close your browser and reopen it and go to UV with your UV long in

      Click OUR ACCOUNT

then click then name or avatar of the peson you are logged in as (the member with the problem)

      Then clicked linked services.
You will find VUDU is still linked

click "remove the link"- Vudu will be linked a few times so unlink them all. Mine has 2 vudu links.

Log out of UV and sign back on to vudu.
It should let you relink now.
This fixed my problem! THANK YOU!

Re: DO NOT UNLINK ULTRAVIOLET! IT'S GLITCHED!

I just fixed this as well with ya'll help. I just posted it on the D2D forum

I then logged out of everything and closed browser and rebooted. Opened Chrome, logged into UVVU with sub account. Opened a new tab and logged into Vudu with sub account user.

Go to vudu account info, then under ultraviolet it should say "setup". Click setup then "already have account". Then on the next screen i unchecked "link my account" then pressed next. A working symbol shows on the screen then it takes you to your account page and you're done.

Somehow the link process was grabbing the info from the open logged into uvvu webpage that was open in the other tab.

I figured this out while having my UVVU login open trying to link the vudu subaccount when i got an email saying my services were changed. I then went to the subaccount myvudu and all the movies were there. I logged out and signed into my vudu and under my account info it said my ultraviolet services needed attention. I clicked it and it told me to relink.

So i log back into vudu subaccount and under ultraviolet it said "manage" so i then go to that and choose to unlink. Logout. open new tab and log in as subuser and verify no services were linked. Go to vudu tab and log in as sub account. Go to account info and "setup" is available again. I then uncheck link account and tada its linked and i receive no email saying my account has changed.

          Update:

Deselecting the "link account" box and proceeding will only establish a temporary link. The limit of linked accounts is set at two.

            Can you explain this more?
Are you saying that of my full UV family, only 2 will be able to maintain consistent viable accounts with VUDU? (That doesn't seem to be true, as I know that at least 4 of us have been using our own VUDU accounts linked to our respective branches of our collective UV locker with a fair degree of regularity).

From talking to other people it sounds like UV has changed this and moved it down to a limit of 2. I'm guessing that if you have more you've been grandfathered in and if you ever change down your only getting the limit of 2 back.

Unless UV realizes how dumb this is and takes it back up so at least all of our sub accounts plus the main account can be linked all at the same time.

Hopefully the people in charge of UV do modify the policy, and I agree It should be setup in a way where each UV member can have their own account with each and every retailer they prefer.

Ok i thought it was a glitch as well but it isn't the problem you are having there can only be 3 people linked a vudu account from ultraviolet and if you connect 3 times to vudu it will start blocking you. you need to go to www.uvvu.com and go to the linked accounts and take all the vudu off and then relink this will fix the problem. You are unlinking your vudu on vudu but not on ultraviolet so it thinks there is still a connection when there isnt

When you play via an iPad, iPod your basically playing the movies through their web site and they don't count towards a device linked to your account. Computers do though. So if your playing movies from your computer your account in VUDU should show the computer as a device linked.
That's strange the computer doesn't show as linked. You might have to open a support ticket for that question.

Why would VUDU "show the computer as a device linked" while playing movies? A PC is not a counted as a playable linked VUDU device. Logging into a VUDU account from a PC to view movies never shows up as a connected or linked VUDU device.

The only PC listed in "Manage Devices" is any PC you have installed VUDU-2-Go software.

                            Good call E55KEV.
I always thought that it was in there because I tried to watch a movie. Never put the 2 together that it was because I installed the Vudu-2-Go software.

Its listed as a device if you installed the Vudu2Go app on it where you downloaded a file. I have a laptop with the app and downloaded files and a desktop i use for D2D but only one of them is listed under my devices.

I remember being told that viewing movies on the computer didn't count as one of the "Devices" Just didn't know why it was showing up there.

                                Thanks.
