You Can't Take It With You (1938)

This title has been in Vudu's library for some time, but in SD only; I have had it in my UV & Vudu libraries via another UV retailer. The new Blu-ray edition of this film (released this week) contains a UV code for the film, which Sony's own UV site redeems as HD (confirmed by myuv.com). However, Vudu continues to carry it only in SD -- and even then in the wrong aspect ratio (it's an Academy-ratio film, but Vudu stretches it out to 16:9). Can this title be added in HD/HDX, plus the SD version corrected?

    The SD version finally transferred.

If the code gives you HD, then redeem on Sony's site. If/when Vudu gets the HD/HDx version, it should update your Vudu one to HDx. If you redeem on Vudu, it might say you already have the movie and then the code is no good. You will have the movie in limbo in your account info/saved promotions.

I already had it on Vudu in SD before now, and I redeemed the code in HD on Sony's site (thus I'll have it in HD/HDX on Vudu once it's added); but those are NOT why I posted this. The issue is Vudu *NOT* having it in HD/HDX at all, as well as having the wrong AR on its SD version. That requires a response from Vudu, NOT the peanut gallery.

But the peanut gallery is going to answer posts when there may be relevant info. After all, that is what the forums are for. Now, if you didn't want any input from other users, then maybe you should have just opened a ticket with Vudu support and then you wouldn't see anything from anybody but the Vudu reps. No need to get angry about it...just think, you might have a question that others may have answered already and if you act like you are now, you might never know because no one will want to help you.

My point was the peanut gallery only told me what I already knew on my own. Perhaps you should have read my post completely before responding...

Any update on Vudu getting the HDX version of this film. I'm sitting on my code til the HDX version appears, I don't want to redeem at sony in case a porting problem happens.

Vudu now has the HDX version available. I already redeemed my code at Vudu, like I always do, and it still only shows SD for me. How do I get this corrected?

Always check before redeeming. A few friends redeemed their's on the studio's site, and got SD in Vudu, but it auto upgraded to HDX as soon as Vudu added it. I'm guessing since you redeemed it on Vudu, you are stuck with the SD? Check your UV account and see what quality it list there? If it's stuck as SD, you can always M2D it for $2 or $5.
