Cronenberg's "The Fly" incorrectly plays the 1958 version

Hi there Vudu gurus. Why is it that when I go to watch the 1986 version of the movie The Fly directed by David Cronenberg, I get the 1958 version? This is not the movie I paid for, and I have no idea how to get the correct version. Please help!

Cosign! I can get the correct 1986 version to play on the VUDUToGo app on my computer, but my iPhone and Samsung Smart TV both play the 1958 version.

It plays the correct version on PC but not on TV app. I never watch movies on PC.

It indeed plays the wrong version on tv apps.

I tried watching the original 1958 version to see if that would play the 1986 version, but that one is correct.

I can't believe that at all. If it were legal issues, why would the play the correct title on some devices, and the wrong title on other devices? If it were legal issues, it wouldn't play the correct title on anything, and probably would have never been offered for sale. Vudu support...

it was legal issues that only vudu had about the title. the other streaming service have differnt legal related then vudu.
vudu was the first to be a big streaming service.. maybe the contract ended or something.

the matter is fixed. its been working the last few days now.

If it was a legal issue, they wouldn't direct it to play a different film only on certain devices! Do you think the studios and Vudu get into contract issues and the studio says "You can't allow customers to view this on a computer, only on a mobile device!"?? LOL NO.

maybe it was the contract issue that was the problem? they had to renew it?
