Barb Wire (1996) - Incorrect Audio, Subtitle Issues

I tried to watch Barb Wire this weekend on my 2015 Roku 3, but there are multiple issues with the version on Vudu.

Everything seems fine until around 3:35 in when the first major spoken dialog is made. The spoken dialog track appears to be completely missing. You can hear people hooting and clapping in the background, but never hear anything from the people talking on screen. This issue continues through out the entirety of the movie.

The subtitles are also messed up, they display things that have not appeared on the screen yet. I can duplicate both issues by playing Barb Wire in the web browser on vudu.com.

This movie appears to have been fixed. The dialog is working, and the subtitles display when they should. Barb Wire is also available to purchase in HD as well

What device are you using to watch it? That movie's info tab says it's "Dolby Digital Stereo", which I don't see very often. What about if you play it on your computer, is it still having that issue?

The audio is messed up when attempting to view Barb Wire on a Roku 3 2015, Vudu's Website http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/5237/Barb-Wire, & on the Xbox One Vudu app. The spoken dialog track is missing at any point you skip to where there is a person speaking on screen. One step further I downloaded the movie with the Vudu to Go PC application and it is also missing the spoken dialog.

The movie is only available in SD, so there are no alternate audio streams to try.

Re: Barb Wire (1996) - Incorrect Audio, Subtitle Issues

OK, the fact that it does the same thing on two different devices would indicate that it's probably the source that's the problem, which means that it is likely a VUDU issue, not an equipment issue. Unfortunately I don't own that movie and I'm not inclined to rent it (not judging, it's just that I just own plenty of movies that I haven't even watched yet), so I can't help do any further testing. However, those results are all things that you should mention when you file a support ticket. Even if a VUDU staffer sees your post here, it helps for them to have a ticket number to reference.

Thank you Vudu for fixing the broken audio and correcting the timing on the subtitles.

It's available for purchase/disc to digital in HDX as well. I may go ahead and upgrade soon.
