    Enemy of the State Aspect Ratio

    Just tried to watch "Enemy of the State" with Will Smith and Gene Hackman and the movie has a black border around all four sides creating a 16:9 image but a smaller image instead of a true 16:9 that goes to the edge of the screen. It's almost like watching a box within a box. Anyway Vudu can get a new encode to deal with this?

    its been that way for at least 3 years i bought it and called and had them refund it right away

      Wow three years and still no new encode that's disheartening considering what I spent on that movie. You'd think Vudu would get on top of that.

        Three years is ridiculous. I'd like to own this movie too. So glad I came across this thread before wasting my money.

              Watched tonight and love the new encode. The audio and picture quality look like it was filmed this year and not twenty years ago. It only took four years but finally a good copy. Now can we get anew audio encode for Tombstone.

                I noticed that Vudu seems to have gotten several new encodes (not completely sure, but looks it). The Matrix movies are now in DD+ 5.1, Raiders of the Lost Ark aspect ratio I believe is fixed and I believe there have been several other updated movies. Is there some sort of push on Vudu's part to get new, updated encodes with better video and audio quality? I hope this is the case.
