    Wanted Television Shows

Below are some of our favorite television shows that we would like to see added to Vudu (especially if the studios will allow them to be added using D2D).

    Coach
    Mad About You
    Murder, She Wrote

    The Bionic Woman
    Gilligan's Island

      Re: Wanted Television Shows

Battlestar Galactica (1978) is currently available on VUDU (non-UV) as an SD title (I purchased it a few weeks ago) for $25. The transfers appear to be new, perhaps from an HD remaster, as there are subtle differences (improvements in picture quality and other upgrades) between these transfers on VUDU and the transfers used for the DVDs and on Netflix/Amazon. Perhaps it's a sign that a Blu-ray release (and hopeful HDX release) is on the way soon.

Check out the 2-minute episode previews and decide for yourself.

(NOTE: VUDU is using the wrong key art for this release, incorrectly using an image from the remake series, although the metadata in the description is all correct).

This is the correct cover art for the 1978 version of the movie.

Yes, VUDU's 1978 version of the movie has the correct cover art, but if you look at the television series version from 1978, it features an incorrect image from the remake series. It displays that way on my Blu-ray player, on my Xbox, and on the website (it's an image of a glowing red eye). As I said, though, the metadata is correct. I almost thought that VUDU didn't carry the show until I started reading the text closely.

Ok, so it's the TV show series, not the movie. I'll have the content team investigate this further.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century was a movie at first, and the series followed as well, same as Galactica. I wish you can ask Universal to bring both the movie and the series.
