    Alita Battle Angel preorder

Has anyone else noticed this title missing from the pre-order page. I can find it on Amazon, but I?m curious as to why Vudu doesn?t have this. Anyone have an insight on this? I can?t imagine it?s a spat between vudu and 20th century/Disney as there are other new and preorder titles available and what Cameron films are available are still availabe. Anybody?

I noticed and I've been waiting but it concerns me that it's only available thru Amazon or iTunes. If movies start to become store specific I'm done buying them.

A lot of places either don't have a date or say they are expecting this in "May". Seem's like home release isn't fully locked down yet.

I don?t know that I buy the home release not being locked down. Captain Marvel, Shazam, and many others all hit preorder the day of their theatrical releases. Granted they?ve kept it in theaters longer than I would have expected, so I can see some of that thought line with a postponed digital and dvd release.

As as of this point it?s only available on Amazon for preorder which could point to an exclusive release deal, which seems crazy with the lack of advertising as such and the underperformance it did in relation to its budget. An exclusive just seems like a bad idea but so far it?s the only thing that?s making any albeit little sense. Maybe a Vudu rep will grace us with their presence and knowledge.

edit: Amazon hs updated their site and ABA is no longer available for purchase due to ? our agreement with the content provider?. So I guess maybe it?ll be yet another title nobody can get on digital while Disney+ has exclusive streaming rights I guess...

It may be a bit early for this yet.
Blu-Ray.com slates the 3D+4K disc release as June 25th. The packaging indicates digital code.

Other U.S. disc releases do not indicate a date at all.

Won't happen but if it gave 4K digital AND 3D digital that would be Amazing.

I'm just shocked to see 4K and 3D in the same package, let alone 3D at all. 3D is pretty much dead in the US home market. Now China, that's a huge 3D home market.

There are now 2 trailers available, I don't know why anyone would have thought this would be "store specific" or "exclusive to Amazon". I mean, didn't Disney engineer "Movies Anywhere" to encourage cross-platform porting? Why would they shoot themselves in the foot by permitting only one or two providers to carry it? Even if it was a "streaming exclusive" to Disney+, it would be dumb not to allow a purchase elsewhere. Would they disallow disc sales too?

A search for "Alita" will bring them up.

Noticed it myself at 1AM when it went live everywhere.

It is available on 4K / 3D disc.

As as far as digital goes this is unfortunately yet another title in a growing list that you see 4K on FandangoNow and not Vudu.

Its not listed 4K on ANY other MA service, only FN. Theres still quite a while before it comes out so no rush to preorder. Disc is still two whole months so digital won?t likely be a whole lot sooner. But if nothing changes FN is your best purchase option right now. It will port to everyone else in HDX(HD) and when / if Vudu or anyone else gets it 4K it should port 4K.

I saw that too on FN while I was making my rounds. It's still early I know. Was making OP aware that it is up.

FYI the Vudu link you posted which worked initially has now been removed.

[EDIT] Never mind it?s back up again.

Heres my other fear. Isn?t this. FOX title? If so do their 4K slips form the disc package still only redeem HDX/HD?

Historically FOX in UHD has pretty much required buying digital only. I don?t recall is this has been changing recently???

I came here looking for answers to a 4k pre order digital option. If you look it up on Vudu iphone app, it shows 4k. But when I go to the app on my tv, it only has SD and HD. I checked Prime, Movies Now, and Google Play, but can?t find 4k pre order option. My worry us that 4k is only available in 3d? I don?t have a 3d TV.

That's why I did Disc+Digital for Bohemian Rhapsody. I heard that code did redeem UHD but I have no confirmation.

Read further up FandangoNow has 4k digital pre-order.

If you see it available for preorder on Vudu on your phone in 4K then buy it there.

FYI TMK there is no such thing as (consumer) 4K 3D for home. It's either 4K UHD, or 1080P Blu-Ray 3D regardless of disc or streaming.
