        Reasons not to buy:

        1) they're 9.99 on itunes and fandango

        2) MORE IMPORTANTLY, the episodes are cut. These are the syndicated versions that are even worse than the DVD versions. Some episodes are just completely cut. Some 1 hour episodes are split into 2 and cut. Some are 4x3 and some are 16x9 even within the same season.

In short, this is a total mess and DO NOT BUY. The DVD's were pretty messed up but these are even worse.

For more information on what's happened with the DVD releases, check out this link.

Interesting, thanks for letting us know. Sounds like a completely inconsistent mess. Do you know if this issue is present on all the providers? Seems like a good time to contact NBC.

Yes. Everyone has the same masters.

Good luck with NBC. I contacted their home video department MONTHS ago about this, in order to avoid a problem like this.

            This is where we are...

Lovely. Gotta get all my friends to send complaints to NBC, not that it will help, but it won't hurt to try.

Absolutely. Please let me know who you contact. I'd love to do the same. I tried to contact the producers of the show but I don't have Twitter. Feel free to try and tweet as many producers and behind the scenes people you can find. Bring it to someone's attention that matters in the hopes that it will change something.

                  Re: Will & Grace

This is depressing! NBC put out some poorly done DVDs years ago. I was hopeful with the new versions coming out to DVD they would address the cuts and the ratios. GUESS NOT! I remember buying the complete series set when it first came out, half the DVDs wouldn't even load, gave an error, the ones that were had episodes that either froze halfway through or were very pixelated. I contacted NBC then, got a new set, but they did the same things, but on different discs than the first set. As much as I hate hearing this, I may still end up buying them, but only if they add the rest. I have no other way of watching the series, unless I use YT, or buy the crappy DVDs again.

when you go to walmart is every price exactly the same as target or for that matter best buy? its unreasonable to expect that everything that is on sale elsewhere will be on sale at Vudu.

No, but nearly all price match. It's digital, not physical, which can have many different versions/editions. You'd think streaming sites would keep their prices somewhat similar to complete with the others, especially when both are considered top dogs in the business. I plan on watching the series on Hulu until it's removed, maybe by then Vudu's price will be changed.

Except Vudu is DOUBLE the price. Are you seriously defending them being double the price?!
