Question to VUDU Forum about title requests

I've posted several requests over the last year and never have received ANY response whatsoever from anyone at VUDU.

My question is why bother having this subject board if nothing is ever acted upon? At least tell us why you can't make a title available.

Does answering customer questions negatively impact your profit margin, or are you like the Wizard of Oz - a one-man-band that sits behind a curtained cubicle in Bentonville (or San Ramon)?

Re: Question to VUDU Forum about title requests

We do not reply to every message posted on our forums. This is stated in our forum guidelines (see below). Our content team does monitor that part of the forums but cannot act on every single requested title. They will ask the studios whenever they have spare time between projects.

Re: Question to VUDU Forum about title requests

Maybe you need to announce when you are acting on customer requests then. Let us know that you heard us, contacted the studio and are adding new titles because we requested them. As physical media phases out, VUDU could become the king of digital tv and movies. VUDU with UV, your apps being available everywhere (even on Apple products), and Share My Movies convinced me to mostly stop any new investment in blu-rays except for the titles I watch the most and demand the absolute best picture and sound. FandangoNow, Flixster, Sony, and other providers are a joke compared to VUDU. I collected about 300 movies on iTunes until I found you.

Yet, there are some really aggravating things experienced by most of your customers that need to be fixed:

      1) The 100 movie limit on mobile disc to digital. I understand wanting to avoid fraud, but if your D2D ToGo computer software recognized even 10% of my physical discs, that wouldn't be a big deal, but with thousands of DVDs and blu-rays it will take me 20-30 years to convert them all. This limit should be upped to 250.

      2) A surprising number of titles aren't available given your library of 24,000 movies. Some kind of feature on the homepage telling us what non-new releases you've acquired recently would be great. Or let us upvote movies we want to see - Those titles with the most votes get priority.

      3) Give us more flexible ways to arrange our movies and tvs. I'm getting close to 1,000 movies and it's hard to find the one I want to watch sometimes. I'd like to be able to arrange them in my own categories and folders.

      4) Fix some of the bigger bugs - If I scan a UPC with my mobile app, and then decide not to buy it right then (so not to count against my 100 title limit) and then later put the disc into D2DToGo, it reads as "Error Cannot Add to Cart". If I sort my movies A to Z, click on a title to read the description, and then back out to the list, it sorts it back to purchase date and I have to start scrolling all over again.

      5) There needs to be more consumer awareness about the great things about VUDU. It needs to be marketed more as "Netflix, but you own it forever without any subscription fees". None of us watch 90% of what is on Netflix because it holds no interest for us. I love my VUDU collection though - after all - I picked out what I put on it. I've been educating my friends that they can watch their VUDU titles in full 1080p and 4K on their tvs. Most of them think it's a service only for your mobile devices and they don't watch much on those. When I tell them what it's all about I've already converted a few dozen of them to using the service.
