Like I've said in a previous post, I would be happy if VUDU just provided TV shows that have been released to DVD.

It costs money to release to DVD so it means that there is already a compelling marketing reason to have one series released and not another.

    Re: TV Series Requests

thanks .... the TV Shows On DVD web site is great ....answers the "what's
available question". well mostly i guess, if vudu inc can add any and all to
their programing. but this puts us back to the issue of what vudu inc
should do. they could try to add whatever is available in whatever order
that works out. but how do they find out what subscribers (existing and
new) want in tv series programing?

they could add stuff willy-nilly and wait to see if subscribers go after the
stuff ... or have a way to measure what is desired. if there was a web site
where we all could go to add, browse and rate our desire for whatever
shows. this hopefully gives vudu inc the info they need to focus on the
winners. the web site should be an ongoing affair where folks can visit
again and again to check on progress/status of their choices.

i'm sure we all have any number of shows that we would be happy to
    have.
If you''ll excuse a slight tangent here, I'd bet that VUDU would have trouble getting any shows not on or licensed for DVD release. So, with that in mind, there is a TV Shows On DVD web site that is actually taken seriously by at least some of the studios. You can vote there for unreleased shows that you'd like to see on DVD. Not quite the same, but still nice, and possibly related.

I think we would need to see the parental control features improved before adding such. Right now you can't keep undesired content off of your Vudu menus. There are plenty of users who won't be happy having mature content displayed to underaged family members.

Anywhere I look that have the latest Season episodes of Family Guy don't seem to include it. I'm guessing since it got its own DVD release the folks at Fox are trying to capitalize as much as they can on demand for it. It'd be great if VUDU offered it.

I was wondering where that is? So I guess VUDU doesn't have that episode?

How about having an anime genre? It would make searching for those types of titles much easier.

BG would be great, especially now that iTunes doesn't have it any longer. You do know Vudu has the extended version of Razor, right? It's purchase only but at least they have one BG show - that's a start...
