As of looking at it right now (7:08 AM Central/ 9:08 Pacific) there is still no posting of the first episode. While in contrast the season finale of The Walking Dead is already up online. I know this isn't the first time that this has happened with a show either...so I think it is something that needs a serious look at.

Wondering the same thing. I decided to make Vudu my go-to viewing service for television shows because the HDX streams are hands down the best I've seen thus far, even better than Netflix and definitely way better than Amazon Prime's highest quality settings.

And yet... the shows I really want to watch seem to take ages to come up. The Walking Dead is usually up within 24 hours of the episode airing, so that's okay. But where is Doctor Who? That aired at around 8PM on Saturday night on BBC America, and yet it's still nowhere to be found on Vudu. Avoiding spoilers is becoming a real headache.

We don't have satellite or cable TV in our home, so we rely on services like Vudu to watch television. But it's as if Wal-Mart doesn't want our money. If it isn't up by tonight, I'm probably going to have to resort to buying it on Amazon Instant instead. At this rate, I'm glad I didn't splurge on the season pass.

Still not up.. and the newest episode of The Walking Dead was up by at least 7am Central Time today so I don't understand why this isn't up almost 24 hours later.

I fully agree! I expected to have it available Sunday when I got up. And it's still not up! C'mon Vudu... Do you want our business or not?

We hope to have it up by the end of today if not tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

I ended up purchasing a TV pass for this season from Amazon because the episode wasn't up on Vudu yet. Maybe next season they will be a little more timely and then I'll give them a second look.

5AM central time on April 2nd, and still no sign of The Bells of St. John on Vudu.

Can you tell us if this is a one-off delay, or can we expect this to happen every week?

Re: Doctor Who - Season 7.2

Well, I have to say I am a little disappointed in Vudu. I decided this year to buy the season passes to my favorite shows to avoid spoilers - Doctor Who and Breaking Bad. But it looks like Vudu struggles to get things up on time and I would like to watch the episodes the next day.

I think I am going to go with Itunes for this year and maybe in the future Vudu will be able to respond quicker. Its a shame because I do prefer Vudu quality.

The episode is up, but the audio is botched.

During early scenes set in a monastery and during scenes set in the TARDIS, their voices do not sound right. They sound really echo-y and are hard to understand. I've gone round to my family's house and checked out their BBC America recording, and this issue isn't present on the television version of the episode.

Expected better than this. Not sure I'll be purchasing next week's episode through Vudu as a result.

Where is Nightmare In Silver this weeks episode of Doctor Who? It's been on Amazon.com since yesterday!!! This is becoming increasingly frustrating the needless delays on stuff that has been for the most part consistent. I've been used to being able to see the newer episodes on Sunday. Here it is Monday morning and still NOTHING!!!

Yes, the delays are frustrating. At least it's finally up, though.

However, I'm a little confused by something: why are some episodes released in 5.1 surround and others released in 2.0 stereo? This is an utterly perplexing inconsistency, and the episodes that are released in stereo don't sound nearly as good as the ones released in 5.1 surround. And of course there's the debacle with the audio in The Bells of St. John, which I'm fairly sure has yet to be fixed or even addressed.

The way Vudu has handled this run of episodes of Doctor Who has been really disappointing. Will probably be buying future episodes elsewhere.

I purchased the season pass. Vudu has been having seemingly random delays with episode releases. It's difficult to comprehend why this happens. I may have to go with a different content provider for future season passes. Perhaps Vudu will learn from these mistakes and step things up as the service continues to grow? I don't think that staying with a regular schedule is too much to ask for. Especially when they establish consistency by releasing the episodes around the same time each week. It's the equivalent of expecting to see a TV show when it airs only to be surprised to find something else in it's place without notice.
