Pretty crappy move by Vudu regarding Superstore season 2

When Superstore's Olympics special episode was first advertised, I called Vudu support to ask if they were going to have it, and I was told that it would be added onto Season 1 as episode 12.

Once it came out, Vudu had it listed as Season 2 and I had to buy it separately versus being included in my Season 1..this despite the fact that it clearly is a season 1 episode (the girl is pregnant in it still, she gave birth on last episode of Season 1)

So now the season pass for Season 2 is out...and it shows the Olympics episode as part of it, and that I already own it, and they want 24.99 for Season 2 HDX. No reduction for those of use who already bought the one episode.

I should mention that I purchased the Olympics episode from them when it first became available, before there was any season 2 season pass being offered.

I got screwed like this once, too.

I bought the full season for BBC's 'Real History of Science Fiction' as it was airing on BBC America. THe series was supposed to consist of four episodes: Robots, Space, Invasion, and Time Travel. I paid for the full series. BBC-A aired episode one....and the next day it was in my Vudu account. A week later they aired episode 2....and the next day I had it in Vudu. A week later episode 3 aired, and it was in my Vudu the next day....and then episode 4 didn't air. Turns out BBC America decided to hold episode 4 until later in the season. So I waited and waited and waited...and finally after some time episode 4 did air on TV...and Then it was added to To Vudu as 'Time Travel Special'

So even though I purchased a four episode mini series, I only got three episodes and had to buy the 4th episode separately. All because BBC-A decided to delay the airdate. Them putting the show on hold didn't make it any less an episode of the mini-series. It's still the 4th episode of a four episode mini-series.But that delay in airdate somehow gave Vudu license to sell it as a separate entity despite the fact that the show was advertised as a four episode mini series and I paid for the show before all four episodes had aired with the understanding that I was paying for four episodes.

I was fairly annoyed by that!

BBC America's own website lists The Time Travel episode as 'Season 1 Episode 4':

It looks like the studio is labeling this episode as Season 2. I checked Google Play and iTunes and they also have it listed as Season 2.

              Yeah, that does suck.

You would think they would work with us on items like these.

As for Superstore, I should also note that Amazon has Superstore season 2 for 19.99 season pass w/ the Olympics episode....versus me paying the equivalent of $27.98 with Vudu when all is said and done

I would be ok with that if they reduced the cost for S2 for those of us who bought Olympics episode

I think I'm confused. If you purchased the Season 2 pass, then the Olympics episode is included since it's episode 1 of season 2. Did you purchase the episode individually and then purchase season 2?

When the Olympics episode came out, it was only available to purchase by itself as Season 2 Ep 1. There was no season pass for Season 2 being offered. So yes, I had to buy the HDX version of it by itself. NOW you can buy the entire season 2 including it......but you couldn't when I bought the Olympics episode.

I went to buy Season 2 today, as I believe it is the first day it was offered...I haven't bought the entire season yet because of the issue I posted about.

To be clear...I fully understand that Vudu has a policy that if you buy an individual show from a season, they don't discount the season if you go back and buy it (Amazon does, btw)...but this is different because I was never given a choice. I would have bought the entire season right off the bat, not just one episode, if it was offered. But the episode was listed by itself.

And yes, I know it's only $3..but still....having to pay double for something sucks no matter what amount it is. Especially when you are already paying a higher price to get it from Vudu versus Amazon.

Good news, the "complete my season" option should be available later today. I'd check later on in the evening for the discounted pricing.
