Anyone else get tired of the delay with season pass sometimes?

Woke up this morning hoping to watch Season 3 Ep 1 of Z nation ( a 2 hour premiere, no less), but alas, here it is 6:30 PM EST the day after and still hasn't dropped. Here or Amazon, so this one is not Vudu's fault.

I've had times where the shows from various season passes takes 2 days (or more) to get here.

Last year, I actually bought a couple episodes from Amazon because they showed up there the day after but not in my Vudu acct with the season pass, and I wanted my kid to see the show before he left for the weekend.

    Just venting...

I totally agree. If you are going to offer a season pass, and have the customer pay for the season upfront before having to buy it when it's complete, make sure there's talks with the studios to send the episodes a day or two ahead, so they are added on time. There's been a few episodes where they were not posted to Vudu until two days later, though they were on Amazon and iTunes already. It's frustrating when you pay $20+ for a season to own it, and see the new episodes on Hulu the next morning before it hits Vudu.

I think it is time to just start watching the shows elsewhere (Vue and Roku apps for the networks) and then buy the dvds when they come out, I will also get the bonus features that way.

This happened so much over the years and they still don't have it worked out.

This definitely changed my mind about buying season 4 pass for Agents of Shield. Thank God I didn't buy it yet....I may go ask for a refund of Z Nation and just watch it on Syfy app for Roku

Try posting in the help thread. That's where I always posted about episodes not being added. Maybe they will see it quicker there and contact the studio?

Amazon says it will be posted on the 17th, but it isn't. iTunes has it posted now though, so clearly the studios did send something out.

Yup. Sadly moved over my season passes to Google that updates them over night. Even if VUDU isn't at fault for getting stuff later in the day then they need to ***** at the right people to get their stuff sooner. My season pass on Walking Dead is updated with new episodes by the time I wake up the next morning around 7 cst. Almost everything I had bought on VUDU wasn't updated until late afternoon.

Since CW was leaving on Hulu I was thinking of buying at the DC shows on VUDU but I am going to wait and see what time they update after first episode. If other services still beat them by 8 hours then I'll just go with them.

It seems to be hit or miss...I have had times where Vudu has it there in the morning, but usually it takes a while.

I buy quite a few season passes, but this year I will probably be stopping. This will be the first year in a while that I don't buy the season pass for Walking Dead from them, and I decided not to buy the Agents of Shield season pass. Those 2 season passes are very overpriced, and even then I wouldn't mind if they got them to you promptly...but they probably won't. I may still buy the lower priced ones like Wrecked and Dr Ken...but I am done paying good money for something that makes me wait this long.

The Z Nation episode is STILL not available on Vudu, btw

I don't appreciate the delay for season passes. But I won't hold it against VUDU unless they don't correct the oversight in a timely manner after it has been brought to their attention. For instance I just informed VUDU of two shows that have been delayed, they will be given time to update these shows before I would get upset about the issue. I will just watch the episodes off my DVR until they are loaded here.

Do we know the delay or is it different for each show? American Horror Story airs tonight, but I don't know what time it will be available on Vudu tomorrow. Thanks!

Episodes are suppose to be available the next day, I don't know if there's a certain time during the day or not. However, sometimes the studio won't send the encodes out, causing a delay on all streaming services. Then, there are times when the studios do send them out, and other streaming services post them them the next day, and Vudu is behind days-weeks.
