    Home 3D

I saw where Home was released on Vudu in 2D today, but there is no option for a 3D version or a 2D/3D combo. It would be nice if we could get the combo version of this, just like all the other Fox/Dreamworks movies.

It's not released yet. The 2D version is on early viewing at the moment. When the movie offically releases on July 28th you'll likely see the 3D version available either by itself or with 2D as a bundle.

It's not uncommon for Vudu to only allow pre-order, as well as early viewing of 2D with 3D coming at a later date. Often titles go on sale after release and are also not uncommonly cheaper shortly after release.

    I rarely pre-order from Vudu anymore, especially if there isn't a 3D version either streaming 3D or Blu-Ray 3D included when I know it's releasing in 3D.

      Re: Home 3D

The past few Dreamworks/Fox titles that have been release (Penguins of Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and Rio 2) were all released on digital platforms between 2 weeks and a month before the disc release. And each of those had a 2D/3D bundle here on Vudu made available within that 2 week to a month digital only release window. It just seems like Vudu is starting to drop support for 3D titles. First off, taking away 2D/3D bundles, like with The Hobbit and Jupiter Ascending, and now not giving us a 3D option at all.

It has been hugely disappointing to see Vudu dropping their support of 3D. I would rather buy an electronic version of a movie than to have to store DVDs which can scratch and eventually oxidize. To me, buying 3D on Vudu, is the smarter investment. I don't mind spending a little more myself, however, I watch my movies over and over. So that is how I justify it. I can see others wanting to spend less if they can.

Well, Home was released on 3D Bluray today and there still isn't a 3D option for it here on Vudu. Looks like Vudu has dropped their Fox/Dreamworks 3D support and possibly Summit/Lionsgate considering that Insurgent is available in here in 2D only as well. Hopefully they will at least give us a 3D option for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
