    Vudu 3D on Android TV

im waiting vudu, when can we expect 3D on our android tv devices?

    in the mean time

i just watched my vudu 3d movie doctor strange 3D on my android TV sony tv, i found a workaround very simple , ive done some test with other 3d that i have and it seems to work, 3d work ok, not as good as the 3d movies i have on my external disk but at least is something to start.

thank god i found this work around otherwise i had to buy one of those vudu 3d compatible blu ray player which i really dont like, i dont even have a cd dvd blu ray disk in my house since 2009 lol

im not writing how i did it just because im worried that if they find out , they will patch the app with an update and no more 3d again

if you need me to explain you how i did it just shoot me PM here on the forum

we all spent hundreds and thousands of dollars to buy those movies

i mean, i have a sony 4k 3d tv, i got the movies with you and i have your app installed and you guys wont allow me to watch them without workaround, im beyond upset.

Without mentioning the 4k support, the app you guys have on the sony tvs only output hdx movies? no 4k and no 3d?

    Ridiculous!!!!!!!

from a customer that purchased almost 1000 movies from you

Re: Vudu 3D on Android TV

i mean seriously, after spending more than a thousand dollars in that tv and same for the digital movie from you, do i really have to buy another device just to watch them?

just cant believe it, and the worst part is there are so many of us with this problem right now

plus, as far as i know, nvidia shield tv, is the only android tv to have the 4k support, how about the 3d for nvidia shield?

ive spent days trying to find a device with vudu 3d and 4k support all in 1 and could not find it?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
    ridiculous

im seriously considering to get on my phone, and call you guys, and ask you to give me my money back at least for all my 3d movies

Re: Vudu 3D on Android TV

I've pretty much given up on 3D. Hardly any of the movies gave 3D UV rights for Vudu. Likewise 3D purchasing on Vudu has always been hit or miss with either not including the 2D, or charging way more then 2D version. Final nail was when hardly anyone at CES 2017 was showing panels with 3D. Likewise even when I was doing 3D trying to find a 3D compatible device that also had 3D compatible version of Vudu was a chore since the Vudu equipment section on their website was never properly updated.

As far as I know none of the streaming boxes so Vudu 3D. Like Shield TV (Android TV) does do Vudu 4k. Some of the 3D blu-ray players do Vudu 3D. Best shot might be one of the new console game players. Either an Xbox or Playstation might do 3D and 4k on Vudu but you'll pay for one of those machines.

Ok ok, I?m back, I?m sorry if I made you wait so long.

for all the 3D lovers , the workaround to watch your Vudu 3D movies on Android tv it?s chromecast ! Simple as that!

you go on your phone , can be Apple or android, choose your Vudu 3D movie form Vudu app and than you cast it to your android tv .

its basically giving you a side by side video on your tv , and you simply have to transform with your tv 3D option the side by side in watchable 3D content.

i know for all of us 3D lovers it been hard year, it seems like the big rich corporations wants to kill 3D which I?m still so disappointed and confused .

im not sure why the android tv Vudu app won?t let me simply play the 3D video and than let me tv doing the rest of the work, but with chromecast at least we can watch our purchased movies in 3D.

( if for some reason after me posting this , magically there is a Vudu app update and this won?t work anymore, we know for a fact that there is some bigger power that really wants 3D out quick)
                peace
