Beauty and the Beast is 3D??

Will this be released in 3D? Been holding out buying the movie because I want the 2D/3D bundle.

Do you mean the 2017 live action? If so, it was never released on BR in 3D, so I doubt Vudu will ever have it.

If you mean the original, I am shocked they don't offer it.

This is not technically correct. Disney has make a constant habit of reaching 3D titles for at least several years in most countries except the US.

B&b (2017) is available on blur-ray in quite a number of countries and prolly their digital equivalent as well.

It's common practice to release 3D in China for example, often as artificial 3D. In China 3D is common practices and consumers expect it in 3D or the ven 4DX.

If you really want 3d versions of titles as often as possible your best best is to have a region free bluray player and get but the imports of the 3D titles.

This was my path but 3D is largely dieing in the US with more and more TV's not including 3D compared with years past. Especiallly for anything less th the high end models.

Not to mention 3D UV redemption is highly limited and basically non existent in the US.

Yes, I'm asking about the 2017 live action version. I did notice, after my original post, that Disney has not yet released a 3D blu-ray so it makes sense that there is no digital 3D available yet.

I'm fairly sure that the movie was in theaters in 3D. Someone please correct me if not. Disney has been pretty good about releasing 3D digital versions so I assume they will once they release a blu-ray version. If it was never in 3D in the theaters then this is a moot point.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) was released in 3D in the US, but so was Frozen and both titles were not released on 3D disc in the US, but were in other countries. I specifically remember buying Frozen 3D from Amazon UK since it never came out in the US on 3D blu-ray. There have been quite a few others that were 3D in theaters either US or only international that never got released on disc in 3D in the US.

There has actually been quite a lot of discussion on this over the years that Disney might be intentionally withholding 3D versions so they can double dip and re-release them again a second time but with the 3D version as well.

But Frozen is available on VUDU in 3D. Just did a search. Oh well... I gave up and just got the HDX version. I'd been holding off getting the HDX version so I wouldn't have to buy it again to get 3D.

            Thanks!

There may be some true to this. 2 recent bluray combo's that comes to mind that 3D versions were released months after the original date are (Star Wars: TFA & The Jungle Book-(live action)). Waited forever on (Alice Through The Looking Glass 3D), no dice...had to get UK version...looks like I'll have to do the same for (Beauty & the Beast 3D). smh

I bought the UK version of Beauty and the Beast 3D (2017) on eBay. And a cheap pre-used normal US set with a still valid digital copy code because the UK sets apparently don't have digital copies.

Really sad what has happened to 3D TV in the US.

For the recent Marvel (Disney) films I have had to buy 3D UK discs to play on my region free player as they are not released in US...typical Disney Greed and Company politics!
