New User: sound on LG TV too low

    Hello,

I have a new 47" LG LED tv, normally set at volume level 11 for tv viewing.
I have tried for the first time a VUDU movie yesterday (The Hangover) and had to raise the volume to 100 in order to just hear the movie.
Even so, it was way too low to understand the movie dialogue.
I do not have an AV receiver connected and only intend to use the TV Set.
I have seen a 3d on the same subject, but the solution has not been posted.
I like the service, but with this issue it is unusable for me.
Can you please post what needs to be done in order for the app to work on LG tvs.

    Many thanks,

    Daniele

    My apologies Daniele,

Are you seeing this issue on all movies or just for the Hangover? Could you give me the model number or your TV?

Re: New User: sound on LG TV too low

      Hello Dan,
I experience this issue with all movies in VUDU, including trailers.
My TV model is LG 47LV5500.
I have tried for all possible settings, to no avail.
Other apps like YouTube do not suffer from this issue (volume typically at 11 or 12).
Only VUDU is barely audible and forces the volume to be at 100 to hear anything.

Love the service and would be a regular customer, but cannot use it with this current issue.

      Thank you,

      Daniele

        Daniele,

Sorry, my last question; Could you post your software version(Firmware Version). This should be listed in the TV's menu.

I am experiencing the same low volume problem on an LG 55LW6500. Firmware 04.02.28. All other streaming services (Netflix, Cinema Now) have adequate volume levels. So far, the problem has existed on every movie that I have rented (approx 4-5).

To All past posters and future posters on this thread: Don't feel too bad about the sound issue cause obviously you're not alone, i had the problem also and VUDU tried to tell me i had to change my router settings.........i know it seemed ridiculous to me as well since CRACKLE, CINEMANOW, NETFLIX, and HULU all worked fine but for some reason VUDU was the only one that had problems (sound was waaaay too low). Then they sent me an email that said if i didn't respond in 72 hours they would just consider it closed. To make matters worse i couldn't view a movie i had purchased (3musketeers-on my other account) and i never received the 5.99 movie credit they were supposed to post to my account (the new one i made to see if it would clear up the issue) upon sign up. So ultimately i got shafted for 2 movies.

i was just contacted my VUDU customer support again and they had this to say: "Hello Charles,
Thank you for contacting VUDU Customer Care concerning low audio when watching VUDU movies on your Xbox.

Please call the XBox Live support team for troubleshooting assistance. The XBox Live support team is specially trained for the XBox troubleshooting and can process refunds if needed.

Why thank you craig......because as i told the last VUDU service rep contacting xbox wasn't the first thing i tried. The support rep talked to his supervisor and told me "talk to vudu and see if they can help you with the sound glitch and the billing credit problems because they are a new company we are working with and there isn't much we can do on our end but they should be able to take care of it." i even still have the email from them.

                    heres my case info
                    Incident: 120826-000636
                    and
                    Incident: 120826-000636

at any rate im stuck not being able to use my xbox for vudu which would be more convenient than what i had to do (buy a new wireless blu ray player with vudu app) which now i have no sound issue but like i said it was something i didnt want to pay for and i cant use one device for all my needs anymore. but it still doesnt solve the billing issues

                      Evol,

My apologies for your bad experience with our support team.

Microsoft handles any payments made via the Xbox360.

It looks like you made the purchase via your Blu-Ray player. I have refunded your latest purchase, you should see the funds return in three to five business days.

What is the current firmware you're running on the Blu-ray player?

i dont understand why people keep asking about my blu ray player. that's not a problem. i purchased a new one that works just fine viewing vudu content. The xbox is the problem (which views movies on other apps just fine). I guess i'll contact xbox again for the third time. thank you for the credit it should appear on my vudu account ?

The funds were returned to your payment method. So it may take a few days to hit your account.

I would be happy to help with the 360 as well.

My apologies if you stated this already. Have you opened ports for the device specific to VUDU?
