Prometheus No Sound Phillips Blue Ray

I run VUDU with my Phillips Blue Ray player and recently bought Prometheus thru VUDU. Well imagine my dissappointment when I go to play the movie and I get no sound at all. I even cranked the volume all the way up to 100 and not so much as a peep. I checked player settings, network settings, updated firmware on the player, verified TV settings, all to no avail. This is lame, I dont know what the problem is, but I paid $14.99 for Prometheus and if you dont fix that, Im going to need a refund because I clearly am not getting what I paid for.

i had a similar problem. i got shafted on 2 movies. i had to turn my surround system all the way up and could still barely hear the movie (using xbox 360). First they tried telling me it was my tv (proved em wrong) then it was my surround sound (proved em wrong) then it was my xbox (proved em wrong) then it was my router (wrong again). No one should have to change every setting on ever piece of equipment they own to watch a movie and if thats the case they need to get their s**t together and optimize their software to co-operate with out of the box sound systems/xboxes/routers etc...

Bottomline is if CINEMANOW, HULU, NETFLIX and CRACKLE all work for me with my sound system/television/router settings as they are factory then it's not my problem it's VUDUS problem.

And if i use VUDU on my blu ray player it works fine and my blu ray is hooked up exactly the same as my xbox is (HDMI to the sound system). So they obviously have coding issues with certain devices. (and im not the only person i know to have these issues)

I was wondering if someone else was having this issue....I have a different device, though...a WDTV Live Hub......When I play the movie the Fox logo appears(no sound), then a few other intros, during which there are a couple of pops in my speakers, then nothing for the rest of the film.....this occurred on both HDX and HD modes, but played fine in SD.....I think it may have something to do with the 7.1 encode in the film, affecting certain devices....I tried other films I own that have a 7.1 track(Tron), and it played fine......I have a support ticket with VUDU, hopefully this can be resolved....
