The power button doesn't reboot the box. Unplug it and Plug it back in again to reboot.

Hopefully you'll see the VUDU Logo as it starts it's boot up sequence.

How long does the VUDU logo "stay there" for?

When you hit the power button, both LEDs on the front should go green or green and yellow if you have delayed movie delivery set.

I've never seen the blinking yellow and green LED!

If you are running to an SD TV set, make sure that you have the little switch on the back set to 480i. If it was accidentally moved to 480p you'll get no picture unless you are using component video to a progressive scan TV.

Also, upon boot, it takes probably about 3 to 5 minutes for the box to fully come up.

                Re: not working after setup

In the CE industry it is not practical to expect 100% of products shipped to work perfectly. Based on what you've posted so far, I think you may have found an example of electronics infant mortality. The way a Vudu usually works after you reboot (i.e. pull the power cord and plug it back in) is you see the big Vudu logo for 2-5 minutes, then you get a regular screen. If your box never boots beyond the logo, I'd wager you have a box that has a boo-boo and will need to be repaired/replaced.

The failure rate has been very rare over the 2 years I've been playing with Vudu hardware - not that it helps you to be told this right now. I am surprised this happened after your initial success.

You should post your System ID in this thread so the engineers can lookup the logs for what that box did before it went casters up.

Is the system id the same as the serial no.

                    Re: not working after setup

No, if you go into "Info & Settings" from the main Vudu screen you can find the System ID fairly easily.

Blinking front led's (as opposed to a solid red, yellow, or green) indicate a HW failure.
Please contact customer support. They will help you with the box replacement procedure.
