Audio is choppy when running Dolby Digital via HDMI ARC with UHD movies

This seems to be a new problem after a recent app update on my 2017 LG OLED. I have bought a bunch of UHD titles since I bought the set. Since a recent software update, the Dolby Digital stream to my Denon receiver from my LG via HDMI ARC sounds very choppy. This wasn't an issue back in December, everything was working perfectly. It started happening as of the latest software update, so I have to say it's related to that. No settings were changed or manipulated. It's the same setup I had in December when everything seemed to be fine.

Can you guys pull the latest version of the app and post the older version?

Has no one else complained about this?

If listening to the movies in Dolby PRO Logic II or Stereo, the movie sounds fine. It's only when outputting to Dolby Digital when it breaks.

Please fix ASAP. I appreciate you having this forum. Thank you.

Same here on my LG OLED65C6. Coco has stuttering audio, says it's Atmos (my TV doesn't pass Atmos) and this just started recently. I'm not on ARC though.

You should see a firmware update from LG to address this issue in the next few days.

LG will begin releasing a firmware update to resolve the audio issue on their 2016 TV's. The update will be rolled out in batches throughout the week. Hopefully by a weeks time most users will have the new update. You can also apply the update manually by downloading the firmware update from LG's support website if you wish.

I just noticed today that I am encountering the same trouble on my 2015 Vizio TV running ARC audio through a 2016 Vizio Soundbar. The only thing that I have noticed having changed is that the VUDU app on Xbox One appears to have been updated (looks new). Was there more to that recent update that could be affecting my audio?

LG has now released the update. v05.30.25. Was released on 3/16/18. I asked my TV to check for updates and it was still saying that there was nothing new to install. I know I have a supported TV so maybe it takes a few days for the auto-update on the TV to recognize there is a new version.
