VUDU app for Shield TV no HDR

If I use the VUDU APP on my Samsung TV I get everything...Atmos, HDR, 4k but when I use the VUDU APP for Shield TV and that is plugged into my new Denon AVR-X1600H Atmos and 4k work but HDR is always greyed out no problem with the shield and Prime or Netflix HDR just VUDU So can not get HDR with VUDU app on Shield...The MOvies Anywhere app works with Shield.

Might be a handshake issue somewhere. If your Sammy has the OneConnect box, try connecting your shield directly to it and ARC to your Denon. Everything connected to mine results in Atmos & HDR whether my source is 4k-BDP, ChromeCast Ultra, or 4k FireTv. If no OneConnect, connect to your Sammy directly. Good luck!

Thanks, If I connect the Shield to my Samsung then ARC to Denon that will work and if I use the VUDU app on my Samsung HDR lights up and works as well. There must be some setting on the shield that I am missing or the VUDU app for Shield is not set right...

Update... so I set the display in the VUDU app to 4K 23 hz HDR10 from the default 60hz... then VUDU shows HDR, ATMOS 4K and also Disney+ worked for the first time showing everything! when at the default 60hz setting I could only get HD and 5.1.....however everything else seemed to stutter a little even moving from app icon to icon was a little slow and hesitant. so I have to change display setting when I want to watch VuDU or Disney+....everything else runs better on the default auto 60hz setting ....anyone else have this issue... not a big deal to switch but I thought the VUDU app would automatically detect this.
