Pan UHD + Dolby Vision Red Flickering Problem in Dark Scenes?

    Hay there,

Brand new to the VUDU service. Just got an LG OLED65E6P yesterday and decided to try out streaming UHD with Dolby Vision to see what the TV could do, so I picked Pan.

Looked very promising at the start with everything in the TV triggering correctly, but for whatever reason, in dark scenes (and only dark scenes seemingly) I'm getting a very prominent and annoying red flickering. I don't know how else to describe it except a non-existent red candle casting light on the scene (especially things like faces) in a flicker, especially on faces and areas where there's a subtle red tone (which gets exaggerated in a flicker pattern). Additionally, there seems to be some brightening and darkening of the dark areas around the image. This can be seen within the very first few minutes of the movie (and continues, though I didn't finish as I'm trying to solve this first).

At first I thought maybe Dolby Vision on my TV wasn't working correctly, but I tried Pacific Rim in UHD/Dolby Vision to rule out a problem with the TV, and that (while not as dark a movie) was perfect and had none of this happening. I also tried Netflix's Daredevil a few minutes and didn't see evidence of this.

Is it just something wrong with this movie? Are others seeing this?

    Thanks!

Could you provide a time range or two in the movie where you think this is most prominent? I will forward to our content/QA to take a look.

Sure. It's prevalent in the movie in general in most dark scenes seemingly, but here are a few timestamps for where it's very prevalent in the first part of the movie:

      2:25 - 2:45 (Woman w/ Baby in Crib.)
6:40 - 7:20 (Bottle, Virgin Mary, Booby Trap.)

It's VERY noticeable. They should have no trouble picking up on it. Please note this ONLY happens with Dolby Vision! If I switch to HDX, it looks great (actually, quite a bit better than Dolby Vision...which just shouldn't be).

Please let me know what they say, and thanks much!
