Can't get HD. Hard Drive full.

Tried purchasing the Bourne Ultimatum (in HD) today and keep getting a massage say that my hard drive is full. WTF?? I thought I was suppose to be able to get anything I wanted.

How do I flush the Hard Drive so this message will go away?

Might be a bug (I've got a similar problem and I know my HD is not full). Call Vudu customer care at 888-554-VUDU and they will fix it.

Would you mind answering a few questions?

1 - How many movies did you already "purchase" (look at My Movies and count them).

2 - What is your Vudu client ID (looks like 0x12AB)? Can be found in "Info and Settings" or on the bottom of your Vudu?

This is one thing I think Vudu got wrong. It makes no sense to have a fixed amount of storage capacity for a system that lets you buy movies. This is even more of an issue with HD coming/here. A Vudu user should never have to think about or worry about how much disk space is left. I might even be willing to pay the purchase fee for a movie that wasn't available for rental, if I didn't have to worry about how much disk space it would permanently take up.

Very soon you should see the ability to easily manage your own storage. This will include the ability to delete purchased content, which can be downloaded again later for "free". This will let the owner control what stays on the hard drive, especially helpful if you want to unplug the box and take it to another location for viewing without internet access.

Movies can be deleted now with a call to customer support. So progress is being made.

This ability to delete shows was requested months ago before the product was launched. I think other things had higher priority first.

Excellent! I am so happy about that. I withdraw my previous harsh criticism. This really does just get better and better. Also, I just told my wife that, once this is supported, she could buy movies that weren't available for rental if she really can't wait. Before that, I told her to only rent movies.

Don't hold back on your criticism or suggestions. Steel sharpens Steel. You may spot something, or think of a new function, that will help make the Vudu even better.
