Purchasing HD Content on VuDu on PS3

I was browsing around yesterday, looking a the content available on VuDu, I am new to VuDu so most of the New Content available I already own. But with New Video's being released in the future I was trying to decide if I would use VuDu to make new purchases this month or just keep buying the Disc as I have in the Past. I have the Following Concerns:

    1) I didn't see where you could purchase movies in HD. The movies I saw were available in SD only. HD rentals were available.

    2) If this is current policy, are their any plans to offer HD Content, as quickly as SD content for purchase?

    3) Is this because of some of the audio problems with HD content on the PS3 I've been reading about in the Forum?

    4) Does VuDu convert their own content, or is it given to Vudu from the Studios? Kinda sounds like maybe Vudu converts content from what I've read in the forum.

    5) Has VuDu tried requesting that the studios provide their content in a compatible format?

Im not sure whats up but its gotta be an issue with your set up because I rent movies not only in HD but in HDX almost every day.

As a guess from the way the 3D content has been going I would says maybe VUDU isnt recognizing you have 720p + and there fore wont even show you the content??

Im not that sure but just thought I throw it out there.

Isn't the OP talking about buying the HD movies, not renting them?

Yes, Purchasing not renting. I know you can rent them, and I'm also aware that some are having problems with HD rentals via the PS3.

I'm also aware that a limited number of releases are available for purchase in HD. I'm trying to figure out why this is the case, is there a problem with studio's??? why if the content is being made available anyway?

I'm really only intereted in purchasing, not renting. What I want to avoid is buying content in SD, then having it available later HD.

My main interest in Vudu is to be able to purchase movies just as I do now in the store but having it stored in the clouds. It's hard to find physical storage space when your collection gets larger than a few hundred DVD's, Blu-ray's, etc.

Gee, another purchase customer......Join the club, I am one too........I too am frustrated by the lack of major studio participation in bringing HDX purchasing to VUDU......It all boils down to licensing..........As I've stated before, Disney and the independents have all the HDX to own movies......However, there are some Pixar films not available in the format to own, it's hit or miss......
