    XBOX ONE X suddenly won't play 4k

I've had 4k playback working fine till recently now all the sudden i get an error message saying i need HDCP 2.2. Don't know which i have, i just use the cables that came with the xbox. But why all the sudden has it stopped working??

What TV are you using? Perhaps the HDMI settings for the port that you're XBOX ONE X is on was changed somehow. Maybe a firmware update on the TV itself? I know I had to switch the settings to HDMI 2.2 instead of AUTO on my TCL Roku TV for it to fully recognized the XBOX ONE X capabilities.

Also experiencing the same problem as OP. Using an Xbox One X on a Samsung KS8000. Vudu has been playing 4k content just fine since launch day, then all of a sudden last night this message started popping up -

      Trying to watch in UHD?
Vudu UHD playback requires a 4k UHD TV with HDCP 2.2 support. Please check your device or inputs and try again, or watch in HDX.

It's been working fine for 8 months and nothing has changed as far as my setup, so I assume it's either an Xbox or a Vudu update that's broken it.

      Hope it's fixed soon.

Follow up. Just did a hard reset of the Xbox One X through the power option settings and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Also had to do a hard reset and check a box in xbox setings that allows for 2.2.
