Remote stopped working on the VUDU Spark!

The remote no longer responds to any command on the VUDU Spark via remote, I changed batteries and still no go. Any way to pair the remote or psychically reset the spark? I noticed a little reset hole on the side, I pressed the button inside it, but it didn't reset, just keeps flashing and stays on the same menu when I plug the HDMI back in.

You may need to take it back to Walmart to be replaced.

Before returning the device, you may want to try re-pairing the remote:
        1. Make sure the VUDU Spark is connected to power and tot he TV
        2. Briefly insert a paperclip into the pinhole on the VUDU Spark
        3. A message saying "Request Pairing..." should appear at the top of the TV screen

        Now, to pair the remote:
        1. Hold both arrow buttons on the VUDU Spark remote control for 3 seconds
        2. Press the settings button on the VUDU Spark remote control
        3. A message saying, "Pairing is OK!" should appear in the upper left corner of the TV screen

Unfortunately, if this doesn't work, you will need to exchange the device for a new one.

The same thing is now happening with my Spark remote. These remotes must be defective in some way that after around 3 months they stop working. I tried doing the reset with the paper clip and still nothing is happening. I will try calling support but don't think that it will do much good. I may have to replace it but I can't find the receipt for it?

Also had mine for 3 months, just paired it for the 2nd time, it toke a bit of trial and error but it finally paired in the end, phew.

PS: Maybe it's a battery issue idk, after pairing it stopped working again, so I replaced the generics that came with it with some duracell, and it's now working fine again.

Does anyone know of any place to get replacement remotes? I've had two Spark remotes that have failed so far. The first time I just got a whole new Spark, but if there's replacement remotes we can get, I'd rather just do the re-pairing of anew remote... That way I can avoid the whole Stick setup routine I have to do.

This thing has been nothing but a hassle since the day I bought it. Never wants to pair the remote, doesn't connect to my wifi half the time... It's aggravating. Vudu will deny it's a factory defect & I don't have my receipt any more so I guess I'll have to go buy a roku or more reliable product than the vudu shart.
