Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

After a flurry of activity from VUDU personnel both here and via direct Support, it's been 2 weeks without any further contact. Just silence. Disappointing.

Can you run a speedtest at the link below, must be done from the same network as the XBOX ONE.

        To speedtest.vudu.com:
        15.07Mbps down
        1.56Mbps up

        To speedtest.net:
        55.02Mbps down
        5.52Mbps up

Traceroutes to various VUDU servers were sent to Support a couple of weeks ago.

I tested again last night just in case the issue was resolved. Nope.
I have all the same issues with all the same equipment and attempts to fix.
I ran the speed test on the device and I'm over 50mbps download speeds.

Sort of same problem. I was updated early yesterday to the 4/11 Xbox One Creator update. Vudu stopped streaming UHD. I own several, a week ago I had no problem. Now it only streams HDX and the UHD is not present as a streaming option, it does say I own UHD. UPDATE: A full restart of the updated Xbox One S fixed it. UHD is back in the app

Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

We are actively looking into the Xbox One issues reported here (the symptom is that the movie stalls for 30-45 seconds before any playback has started, and then gives an error).

We are exploring a possible issue in the interaction of the Xbox player with a router or ISP that is dropping some network requests. It would help if anyone with the problem listed:

              1) your ISP
              2) your router model
              3) if Xbox is connected wired or wireless

If you don't want to post this here you can PM me instead. Also, if you PM me your VUDU login email, we may contact you to assist with further debugging if you would like to help.

Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

I know this is an older post but this issue still exists and i havent seen any resolution to it.

                1) your ISP: Comcast
                2) your router model: Asus RT-AC3100
                3) if Xbox is connected wired or wireless: Wired/Static IP

I have already done the port forwarding as advised in this link.

                https://vudu.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/113

the only issue with streaming is with vudu. HDX seems to always have an issues and always wants to switch to SD.
I believe i have more then enough bandwidth to stream movies in HDX.

At this time I am getting 232 Mpbs down and 12 Mbps up.

you can see that info here: http://beta.speedtest.net/result/6671664387

Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to resolve it ?

Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

Sorry, I don't think I ever followed up on this.

After removing my XBox One from the preview program, I continued to have problems. At some mysterious point after using a debug version of the Vudu app, things started working again.

I've not had any issues since then.

Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

Same issue as this thread. All other streaming services work fine and can stream in HD except for VUDU. Started about a week ago, it might have started with the most recent xbox UI update now that I think of it.

                      1) your ISP: Google Fiber
                      2) your router model: Google Network Box and Netgear r7000
                      3) if Xbox is connected: wirelessly

Network diagnostics from the xbox are as follows:

                      Download: 85 Mpbs
                      Upload: 70 Mpbs
                      0% packet loss
                      MTU: 1480
                      Latency 21ms
                      Wireless Strength: 100%

Re: XBox One HDX streaming problem

I'm experiencing the same issues reported here. Only on my Xbox One.

Smart TV & PS4 are having no issues. Cleared cache, uninstalled the app, still have the issue.

                          1) your ISP - Comcast (239Mbps down, 12Mbps up, 26ms ping)
                          2) your router model - Nighthawk X4 R7500v2 (firmware 1.0.3.20)
                          3) if Xbox is connected wired or wireless - wired with static IP and in DMZ.

Can you please try using Google's DNS servers instead of Comcast. Those servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Another forum user with a similar issue reports that this has resolved their issue with Comcast and Xbox One playback.

I'm actually not using Comcast's. I'm using Cisco OpenDNS, to help with content and malware filtering. If it was a DNS issue, wouldn't it be impacting Vudu apps on all devices, not just my Xbox One?

The Xbox One app is dependent on the Xbox Live Service, unlike your other devices. You can't use our app without it. Please give the Google DNS a shot and let me know. If you continue to have issues, can you please give me the firmware/software version installed on your console. That might be a factor as well.
