Me too! I get the feeling it's never coming....and I'm hoping they don't take it away on the Roku.

Sometimes it does not happen but most of the time during that time frame it does happen. Turning off Quick Start I found as a workaround to the issue for just iTunes content streaming but it will still happen with Netflix content as Quick Start is just for iTunes content. Quick Start setting workaround will not work with Vudu because it's an iTunes specific setting. I hardly used Vudu on my Apple TV, but maybe we both have the same issue with the video freeze/audio continue and maybe it's not Vudu related since I experienced it in Netflix and iTunes content? I never had an issue with picture breaking up on my Apple TV 4k but then I hardly ever used Vudu on it and so I'm not sure if that's Vudu specific issue or not. I've been tried a few other Apple TV 4k's and they experienced the same issue video freeze/audio continue as I'm having and I also tried different HDMI cables but that still did not resolve the issue. Does the Video freeze last for about 3 seconds while the audio is continuing and then the video resumes but ends up skipping many frames to catch up with the audio? Do you have this issue with other apps on your Apple TV 4k?
Sounds like you are having a different problem as I?ve not seen any problems with iTunes or Netflix content, just one specific Vudu UHD Dolby Vision video where the video freezes while the audio continues at certain specific points during playback and about 5 to 10 seconds later the video aborts with an error code about the video not being available.

@JefferyVUDU - concerning the new VUDU tvOS app update, could you please elaborate more than just, "V1.1.2 - bug-fixes to improve streaming performance."

Would love to have this feature. We've been re-watching Game of Thrones. and it's a real pain to keep your place. All of the episodes have been watched, and it doesn't take me to the next episode when I finish an episode on Watchlist.

    Hi. New to Vudu.

I have the ATV 4K. I have the most recent TVOS 12 Beta installed. I have it set to play atmos audio. I am running the ATV into my Denon X3400H receiver via tested high quality HDMI. I then pass the video on to my Sony X900E TV via HDMI.

Last night I watched my first VUDU movie, Black Panther. It was offered at the .99 cent promo rate. But it would not pass Atmos to my receiver. When pressing the info button on my remote, it showed PCM input using 5 speakers and not sending atmos content for my atmos enabled speakers. And yes, I have the amp assigned for Dolby Front.

Any ideas if this is a shared experience with others with the Beta, or is something set up wrong?

There appears to be something bad in the encode at that spot (30:03).

Hi - I sent this to Vudu tech support via email form, but didn't get a reply. Using an Apple TV 4K with the latest TVOS Beta 12 and Vudu app up to date (last update in May 2018), 4UHD videos periodically stutter. Audio is unaffected, but image will stutter (best way I can describe it) for a moment - the image will freeze-frame on something for about a second, causing the image to jerk and then resume normal playback. This has happened while watching Black Panther and Thor Raganarok (I use the Vudu app mostly for Disney 4K). It's hard to predict as it can be 30min-1hr between occurrences. I'm not sure how to report this, so any help in getting this to the right people at Vudu so they can work on the issue would be great. I don't expect to really troubleshoot the issue, but with the beta turning to a final release next month, I wanted to report it (also, is anyone else on Beta 12 having this issue with a ATV 4K?). Thanks.
