Yes, I am. Unfortunately, however, after the Apple TV update last night, the search function is NOT working for me again!

Vudu, can you please resolve this? I suppose I will try deleting the app and reinstalling again, but obviously we shouldn't need to do that after every ATV update.

Ah gotcha. Yeah the Apple TV detects if the Siri remote isn't being used and gives a different onscreen keyboard. Seems maybe the Vudu devs didn't test with something other than the Siri remote.

Is this still being worked on? Audio just sounds bad on the ATV via the Vudu app.

I'm 100% certain I've uploaded a few videos to VLC in the past (via http) and they stayed in the app for a while.

I just checked and there is a still a 110 minute HD movie (over 3GB) in my VLC app on my AppleTV from February that still plays (I've rebooted and I'd have to think updated software since then).

Again, I don't care if it's persistent (I don't need it to last 6 months!), I'm just looking for / suggesting a better experience for people with a slower connection.
All local data more than 500KB will be volatile. However, if users don't care about persistent or contents can be removed randomly, it is a great feature that we will investigate it.

There are in fact 2 discernable FF/RW speeds when using my Logitech Harmony elite remote and the ATV Vudu app. I don't know if this is an Apple thing or a Vudu thing but my suggestions above apply.

Second, there IS a start movie over option, but only when you access the movie from the watch list. When you access the exact same movie from the general list, you only get a watch option which only resumes from the previous point. Definite room for UI improvement here. Anywhere you access a movie should have the option to either stay over our resume.
The playback control on Vudu app is using Apple's default playback, which is used among other apps such as Netflix. The playback control is designed to work well with Apple's Siri Remote. With gestures on the touch pad, users can skip/FF/RW or start over easily without introducing extra buttons on control panel. We also consider users who are using universal controller. Thank you for the feedbacks for Start Over and Chapter Skip features, and we will definitely evaluate them into next version design.

What are your owned movies can't play trailer? We will investigate this issue thoroughly.

To start a movie over from any spot, you would simply click the trackpad and flip your thumb to the left. Viola!

    3. That's true that there is no button for a trailer of a purchased movie, but all you would have to do is hit the Siri button and say "search YouTube for 'Wonder Woman' trailer" and it will begin playing. What makes that even easier is you don't even need to go to the movie's page first!
Thanks for the replies but unfortunately those solutions are of no help to users of a universal remote. I have no desire to user a dedicated remote and neither does my family.

Maybe the FF/RW issue is an apple limitation but it would be great if Vudu could code their app to allow four different FF speeds.

If not then the design choice is well within Vudu to allow for a skip to chapter interface, start movie over option, and display the trailer option.

I think Vudu should consider these enhancements for users of Vudu on ATV that use universal remotes.

And I could swear I was seeing 2 FF/RW speeds. I'll check again

    3. You can't watch the trailers for movies you own. Odd as this sounds, I user this a lot when trying to decide what to watch with other people.

If you can address the search issue, the sound issue, and these, there app will be a really solid choice.
