      Vudu team, I see you updated the app on June 4th. My Sony 930e works better. I played Lego Ninjago UHD nad constantly got buffering and it did tell me to downgrade to HDX twice. Also the bandwidth was never higher than one bar. So i tried a couple more movies Arrival UHD (no HDR) which was 5 bars and no issues and I tried BladeRunner 2049 which gave me 2 bars and stuttered a couple times. Maybe it is this TV since avs members say even with a wired ethernet connection the TV does not have much bandwidth. I can switch to my Sony x700 UHD player and play movies fine.

          34 minutes into wonder woman uhd and it has buffered even though it has full signal bars even whilst bufering... Sorted itself out after about 10 seconds and remained on full uhd signal strength..... I amd using AC wifi on a Unifi AC Pro AP, not the 100 mbit ethernet port on the sony tv. I have fine tuned my network and wifi to try and resolve these issues so do not believe these are causing the buffering. I have also tried this using smart QoS but this has also not helped with previous versions of the app.

          I will keep testing and wathcing movies to see if things get better :-)

          buffered again at 55 minutes stil on full strength and did not recover after 30 seconds.....

          and again at 58 minutes.....

            I played Dark Knight Rises 4K DV a 2hr.44 minute movie and it played flawless all the way through on this last patch 6/3.The first time I made it without any stoppage....That last update prior was like a bucking bronco..lol...Keep up the great work guys and Thanks.

              This version of the app does seem the best yet. I wathes thor ragnarok again last night and it only paused/buffered twice through the whole film.

              Testing again today with Justice League..

              update: still buffering for me but a bit of an improvement over the last update and a bit of an improvement over the previous update.

                Yeah, latest version seems to be running better. I am noticing though that the image seems more saturated, and not as sharp as it used to be. Was the image quality adjusted to lessen the buffering issue?

                  The Vudu app appears to have been pulled from the Google Play Store.

                  I went to check to see if the app updated on my Sony x930e (2017) TV and I can?t find it anywhere in the Google Play Store. Previously it appeared under My Apps since I downloaded it. Now I can?t even find it when searching the Google Play Store on my TV.

                  I did find it on the Google Play web site at https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...wnloaderTablet where it shows as Installed, but it claims it?s not compatible with my TV. It?s still on my TV, but if I remove it, I won?t be able to add it again.

                  The version on my TV according to the about screen is 4.1.44.95052_24_1, which appears to be the latest version according to https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/vudu/v...tv-android-tv/, so it must have updated on my TV before being removed from the store.

                    I guess some are lucky their Sony models even got the beta version! Seems the top of the line, Sony's 2016 flagship model xbr-65z9d, was NOT included at all in this Beta at all Why?

                      I'm having a similar issue. I just got an x900F. When starting Vudu, it says I need to upgrade, but the upgrade is blocked (no install/upgrade button on app page). Doesn't work at all, and won't let the old version start.

                        We're looking into this. We had no updates after the 6/4 release, so suspect something may have changed on the Google Play Store side.

                          JeffreyVUDU , do you have any additional info? I emailed Vudu support, they place the blame for this on Sony.

                          My TV is an XBR65X900F. It's running Sony Firmware PKG6.5603.0175NAA, released on 5/30. The firmware adds DolbyVision support to the TV. Vudu is one of the system apps on this firmware. Version for air.com.vudu.airDownloaderTablet is 4.1.198.47082. This doesn't match any version number I found on APK Mirror for Vudu, but I'm guessing the file and the package may have different version numbers. The Play store lists my TV as Sony BRAVIA 4K GB ATV3, and shows it's incompatible with Vudu.

                              Thanks, Jeffrey! I have been able to download and launch the app. I'm still having trouble getting it to play movies, but I don't know if that's anyone's fault but mine yet.

                                Since the app was restored to google play, I was able to install it on my 65z9d
                                I have only tried playing a few trailers, not any full titles yet, hopefully soon.
