Last LG BD390 Update broke VUDU

Videos on VUDU no longer work since the latest update on the LG BD390

The VUDU interface comes up and all works until you select a movie to play, the buffer screen appears and instantly FREEZES, then the LG BD390 shuts off after about 1 minute of being totally frozen.

This issue happens when I try to play ANY movie.

This issue did not appear until the LG BD390 update that I downloaded about a week ago.

Can someone please fix this issue? I would like to watch the videos I have purchased.

    Top,

VUDU has informed LG of the issue and they are working on a software update that will fix the problem. We have only seen this issue with SD titles, so if you are having this issue with HD and HDX titles as well, please let me know.

I have the same issue with my SD, HD and HDX titles.

After about 3 system resets (3 freezes), the 4th try usually works :-)

Additional Information: SD takes about 4 freezes/restarts, HD takes about 8 freezes/restarts, and had no patience to try HDX ;-)

I confirmed this was indeed an update issue by reverting to the factory install and VUDU once again works.

        Best Regards,

I have an LG BD390 and an older PS3 to handle Vudu. I don't know which device to use when I start purchasing movies. Is there a known preference for one or the other?

I have the LG BD390 and an older PS3. Has the BD390 issues been solved? Which of the two would be best to use?

              Chris,

You should be able to connect on the 390. It's personal preference. I myself use VUDU on my PS3.

I have the latest firmware on my LG BD390, I have not had any issues with VUDU on this firmware on prior firmwares. I get 3 bar HDX consistently without issues.

Thanks guys, good to hear. I have only recently upgraded my internet service to speeds adequate for Vudu HD and HDX, so I am ready to rock and roll now.
