    Movie Freezes

I'm having problems streaming movies. I first tried viewing the movie trailers to make sure I had enought speed. I ran into buffering problems. I upgraded my roadrunner speed and also decided to connect with an internet cabIe. I again tried to view the trailers. No buffering problems this time but halfway thru the trailer it froze. Tried to view another trailer and it again froze half way thru. Decided to try to view a movie anyway. The first 2 hrs. streamed with no problem. Then the movie froze. Anyone have any ideas?

When the movie freeze's, does it just got to a blank screen? Do you see any kind of error message?

      Re: Movie Freezes

When the movie freezes, it does not go black and there is no error message. You see the picture on tv at the point that it freezes. I am able to rewind and view the movie up to that point only. If I fast forward, you are able to see the movie until I press stop to resume play. I then get a black screen. So, if i rewind, I am able to view the movie until the point that it froze. If I fast forward past the "freezing point", it just goes black.?????

This same thing is happening to me on my Vizio VBR210. I have rented two movies and both stopped streaming at almost exactly halfway through. I could rewind and play the movies up to the point where it froze but never any farther.

i am having the same problem. i have the same type devce (Vizio VBR210). i have tried to watch two movies tonight and both stopped at about the middle of the movie. i rented 'no way out' and 'the social network'. the only movie that we have seen all the way through without issue was 'unstoppable', which we rented february 25, 2011.

i just replied to an email sent to me about 'no way out' and i find it redundant to write a similar email for the same thing that happened to 'the social network'. i noted that issue in the email response about 'no way out'.

i see in past posts that you require a "PM". what is that and how do i get it?

I'm having the same problem with the movie freezing up. I missed seeing the movie because my 48 hours is up. I have tried sending a message but no response.

I have the same problem described here. I have a Vizio VBR210 (Vizio Blue Ray Player with the Vudu application built in.) Two different movies we have purchased within the last two weeks exhibited the problem wherein playback stops part way through the movie (40 or 50 minutes in) and we can't play the movie any farther.

As others have observed, we can rewind and replay the movie up to the exact same point in time where the freeze occurs (even a few hours later), but no further.

Does turning the Blue Ray Player off and back on make any difference?

I'm having the same issues. I get to 50 minutes of "Hangover II" and the screen goes black. Turning the blu ray player off does not fix the issue. Please help.
