    Buffering issues

I am trying to watch a movie but it wont get past the first minute due to buffering issues. I have tried everything to no prevail. When I do the speed test I get the message "Speed testing could not be completed due to network problems." I have resetted my modem/router; my blu-ray player is hardlined in; I enabled UPNP in my router; and opened firewalls. There's no issues with my connection as I'm sitting here on my laptop typing this with a full wireless signal and no problems. And my facebook and pandora apps on my blu-ray are working with no problem. Is there a listen port or something I have to open? I have none of these problems with my netflix account or hulu account.

What kind of bandwidth are you paying for from your ISP? Opening ports 13200-13299 may help.

I have a hard wired connection. Experiencing buffering problems. I did the test and it says I can do hdx. I got it last night on HD movie.

Anyway, tell me more about this port thing. I am aware of opening a port for an IP address. Do you want me to open these ports for the static IP I have assigned for VuDu box?

Yes, or you use DMZ for that specific IP.

          Re: Buffering issues

I chose to do port range forwarding 13200 - 13299. This works. No more issues with buffering.

This corrected my issue with buffering. However, now my Pronto will not control the box. So I think this disables the Pronto Script. Under Parameters in the Pronto Script it says Port 9876. It says to not change that.

          Any ideas?

Try DMZ as a test, but you should be able to keep the 13200-13299 port range open as well as 9876
