    Totally Dissatisfied with Vudu

I have tried to watch three movies on separate dates. The first movie played about half way through then disconnected from the network, second movie played completely through and was enjoyable to watch. Last night I tried to play the third movie and it played about half way through, then disconnected from the network with a message that it was trying to reconnect. I have to admit that Vudu and I will depart ways, my account will be deactivated and I shall never grace your network again. It is a sad situation with limited customer support.

    Sk8ter,

I apologize for your poor experience. If you would allow, i'd be happy to take a look at your streaming sessions and credit you for the movies you were unable to finish. Could you please post your device ID, or send me a private message including your email address?

Could the problem be your internet connection? That is usually the problem...

I agree! I took advantage of the $5.99 credit and watched two movies with no problem. When I began watching the third movie, it started skipping, and audio would be lost, so I kept having to rewind to catch the dialogue. I sent a note to Vudu letting them know about the issue, and honestly I expected to hear "sorry for your bad experience - please let us refund your money and let us know of further troubles." That would have made me a loyal customer who would plan to regularly use their product. I guess I'm used to that sort of customer service from companies that truly value their customers. Instead, I was first told they couldn't even find my account, then they wanted to know exactly WHERE in the movie it was skipping. Next, they sent me about six different things to try because they were just "sure" it was my cable or television and not their perfect system. Never mind that I just recently had a cable upgrade and have no problems with any other systems on my smart tv. Sorry, but there are far too many options out there to waste my time with a company that is not quick to respond with solutions vs. challenging my complaints.

          Texgal,

I apologize for your poor experience with customer service. I would be happy to credit you if you haven't been already. Would you be willing to post your case number so i can take a look at the problem you called about?

I am not watching Vudu again. I am with you 100%. I may try again in a year but the service is horrible. They also tried to blame MY settings from every direction. Yet, a trace route found I have NO ISSUES hitting the server. It is on YOUR END, Vudu. Quit blaming customers for your problems.

Vudu works very well on my end.

                Re: Totally Dissatisfied with Vudu

Vudu works great here using a PS3 or an LG BD390, nothing special about my network or inexpensive ZyXEL Wireless-G router, using Comcast Xfinity 6Mbps internet service.

For those few complaining in this thread about having problems, you might try to figure out the source of the problems. I see no way it can be the Vudu service based on my experience but the tone of the whining posts makes it likely the individuals aren't the type that would consider the cause, too busy whining.

I've been using VUDU for over 4 years. It consistently works great from the dozen devices I have with VUDU. I just wish you could have more than five devices on your account at one time.

Wow, over a dozen. I have only 2 players on my account and didn't know VUDU allowed 5 but that seems a fair number to me, certainly not low. With over a dozen you may have knowledge that some players don't work as well as others, who knows but maybe the people complaining have players that don't work well.
