    The Lorax?

Ok, so I followed the directions on the package, selected Vudu & iTunes, put in my redemption code and got the screen saying I was successful and could watch my movie on any Vudu device (and alternately on any Apple device, this portion worked perfectly and the movie is accessable to me in iTunes) However this morning, I boot up the Blu-ray and no Lorax. I go onto the desktop to vudu dot com, and no Lorax there either!! http://forum.vudu.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Now I had this issue with both Cowboys and Aliens and Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, and after playing a few rounds of "it's their fault not ours" with both vudu and ultraviolet, I have resigned myself to the fact I will never be able to watch the digital copy on anything but my computer. Which kinda sucks, but ok. However... the Lorax shows up no where, I can't watch it on either my home computer nor the blue ray. My Walmart movies work fine, and is the only reason I haven't deleted the entire mess. I paid $2 each for 4 movies to get converted to digital, and those show up online and on my blu-ray just fine. It's the pricey comb pack digitals that are a PITA.

I have emailed support, but totally expect no help at all, I already know Vudu will blame ultraviolet and vise a versa.

So what I want to know is this... is this "digital download" on "any" vudu device basically crap? Am I resigned to only using iTunes? I want to know before I ever do this again, I could have bought the regular dvd, paid the $2, been about $7 bucks ahead and be able to watch it on the blu-ray!! http://forum.vudu.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

Can you post your case number, i'll take a look to see what happened.

It's hard to say without looking, but there isn't one easy answer for movie redemption's. Each studio does things a little differently. Some movies redeem to your VUDU account and then export to your UV account. Some redeem to your UV account and export to your VUDU account.

If it should have redeemed to your UV account first, there isn't a lot we can do to help get the movie redeemed. In cases like that, i would highly suggest that you contact the company's site you redeemed the movie from.

      Re: The Lorax?

I'm having a near identical issue.

Upon selecting Vudu+iTunes the iTunes portion worked fine but completing the Vudu portion, the Vudu website says

      "Can't redeem.
Error : Failed to create promo

      Please try again."

      Ok, so what now?

        Re: The Lorax?

I have the EXACT same problem with the LORAX.

I redeemed it and choose VUDU on Universals website. (Bought the 3D Blu Ray combo pack) and poof, I got nothing.

I want to redeem Jaws but ... not if the system doesn't work.

I hate the fact that all the different studios make you setup accounts. I accidentally made 2 UV accounts with the same email so my WB movies are in one and my Sony, Paramount are in the other.

That's better I guess than the Universal ones that don't show up in either.

Someone ought to fix VUDU... it's broke.

          Brian,

I'd like to help you, but I will need some more information first. Send me a private message with your information so i can take a look at your account. If the code was invalid, you'll need to contact support at universal for a new one.

            Hmmm,

Pardon my frustration.... After sending the requested PM to the mod who offered help I tried the whole process again.... twice.

It failed the first time and then for some reason .... worked.

I don't understand but I guess alls well that ends well.
