Browse options, play options, upgrading movies, Ipad.

Thought I would just put it all in one thread instead of littering the forums.

    1) How do i browse movies by viewers ratings? (not most popular, most watched or that crappy tomatometer because none of them are even close to being relevant to the amount stars community gives).

    2) How do I select view in SD (in a browser) on my laptop when I own a movie in HDX without having to download it through VUDUToGo?

    3) I know there isn't a feature for it yet but I'd like to see it someday:
If I own dozens of movies in SD and HD I want to be able to upgrade all of them to HDX for the price difference or perhaps even with a discount.

    4) Is there a way to download movies on my ipad? Last time I've checked there was only the app to view them which is pointless when you are on a plane if you ask me... Makes me want to just abandon Vudu and go to iTunes.

Re: Browse options, play options, upgrading movies, Ipad.

1 - I think the popularity and tomatometer are the only options for sorting by rank.

    2. Click on the screen while the movie is playing, and there should be a popup menu that will allow you to choose.

    3 - I agree with this.

    4. There is a new iPad app coming in a few weeks that will let you download movies. If you don't want to wait, you can use the Flixster or CinemaNow app with your ultraviolet movies.

Re: Browse options, play options, upgrading movies, Ipad.

The answer to your #1 is that you cannot.

I remember someone else wanting to be able to sort and filter based on their own our ratings. Seems that they were wanting to be able to view only their favorite movies in their video library. If we were able to filter based on the rating then he could do that.

If we could also sort based on that rating then you too would have what you are looking for. If a movie has 5 stars you would see it sorted ahead of a movie that has 4 stars. After you select your own rating for a movie that should override everyone's rating. What I mean is that if you rate a movie with 3 stars that has a collective rating of 5 stars then it would drop down in your view because your personal rating should be used when available.

I also agree with your #3.

echopulse seems to have answers for your #2 and #4.
