    Buffering is Ridiculous

Today i spent more than $22 to buy Wreck-It Ralph in HDX. When attempting to watch it through my Roku Box, It never played for more than 90 seconds without having to pause to buffer. Eventually I opted to reduce the resolution to HD, and then SD. However, at each level, it would constantly buffer, until eventually I was told that the movie was unable to play because of network problems. I ran the VUDU speed test through my computer while the movie was playing, and I was seeing more than 11M down and 8M up, twice.

I need a refund for this purchase, however I see no other way to request one than through the forums.

Is there any difference in how the devices are connected to your network? Wired or wireless?

          Re: Buffering is Ridiculous

Buffering for me is a constant problem I have had since day 1. But I've chalked it up to being in an apartment complex and on cable where more people are sharing the same bandwidth from the cable company. I watched a movie at a relatives house which has DSL and did not experience 1 buffering issue. I just usually now download the movie to the PS3 first, especially if it is a HDX title and then have no problem. I just wish there was an option to store movies downloaded to a USB storage drive on the PS3, as I would store more of the movies without having to re-download or attempt to stream.

I rented Seven Psychopaths on my Roku 2 HD Friday evening in HD and immediately ran into buffering issues. It is in my basement but directly underneath the wireless router in the family room so the signal strength is always strong. So, I unplugged the Roku, waited a minute, then plugged it back in and let it reboot. I mentioned this in another thread just a moment ago...this cleared up the re-buffering issue. Not sure why or what was going on. It had been a few weeks since I had watched a vudu movie on that device.
