VUDU to Go Problem with Full Screen

This just started happening recently. When I stream my movies, no problem. However, when I try to watch my downloaded movies with VUDU to Go, I get no picture in full-screen mode.I do still get sound, but a totally dark screen. If I take it off full-screen, works fine.Any ideas?

Hmm? I'm going to have to download a movie through Vudu2Go and test this myself. Don't know when I will have the time though?

Support asked me to remove and re-install Flash and Air. No change to behavior with my downloaded movies.

It does seem to be a defect. I can stretch the screen to almost full-screen, but it's not the same.

I did discover a workaround today. The first HDX movie I try to play will not expand to full screen, but if I try a second movie (HDX or SD) it does work with full screen. After it's working, any of the HDX movies will play just fine.

Re: VUDU to Go Problem with Full Screen

Support asked me to re-install the VUDU client. Since I found the workaround it's not worth it to me just to test it for them until I'm home on the weekend.

I have 5 downloaded movies I'd lose with a re-install (26 GB). The slow Internet at the hotel means I'd only be able to download and watch one of them this week. I'm really getting impatient waiting for CFF.

I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the client, made no difference. Like I said, it had been working fine, then about 3 weeks ago, this started happening. Something changed somewhere! Just need to figure out what. I'm going to try the back-to-back movies trick and see if that works for me.

I'm having this same issue, but only with some movies. Star Trek - Into Darkness is the most recent movie I tried to watch with this issue. I can watch it with the player maximized just fine, but pressing the full-screen button causes the picture to just go black (audio continues on fine).

I noticed a similar issue last night, but I was streaming the movie Pacific Rim. I have not downloaded any movies. It sounds like a problem in the Vudu-to-Go player. I hope this gets resolved soon.

having the same issue with Captain Phillips. i just recently started using Vudu. the only other movie i have downloaded was Star Trek Into Darkness and it had no issues. there was a Flash Air update before i tried to watch Captain Phillips tonight. as noted above, i was able to switch to my Star Trek download and play fullscreen without issue. when switching back to Captain Phillips it worked fine in fullscreen.

I've been having the same problem. Definitely seems to be a pretty major bug. I'm surprised there hasn't been any response from the company, given that this is a defect in a product for which we have paid. Let's hope the Vudu doctors can get their mojo working...

I also have been having this problem. I will try the work around and see if that works. Hope it does.

I have the same problem, but found this to work..

Start playing your movie, expand to full screen, if no video then close movie window (not the entire vudu app).
Then start playing your movie again, expand to full screen, and it should work now.

This works for me every time..

A new user. I had the same problem, and with some trial and error, I found that by signing out corrected the problem. I have no idea why.
