    Movie just stops and gives me a black screen. Have to start over.

    miid13...no matter what I do I can't watch a movie all the way through without it stopping. I end up with a black screen and have to start over. I have tried talking to support but they didn't help. Hopefully some one has experienced this problem and can help. I will say that sometimes the movie will play through but not often.

      I have just joined Vudu and have already rented two videos. Both videos just stop playing. This is getting to make me go
      back to my other streaming movie sites. BTW I also use Blockbuster on the go and Netflix. Just to make it clear to you
      both of those streaming sites work without a hitch. I am not going to ask for help from support, as I can see they do
      nothing to help.

      PS: My system is up to date, and I do have plenty of bandwidth. Hope you can fix. Not a happy camper here.

        Could you give me some more information on what device you are using to stream. Is it connected via WiFi or Ethernet?

          Having the same issues, no matter the browser I use (Chrome, Firefox, IE) while watching Firefly. It will play about 3 to 10 minutes and then just go to a black screen and I have to reload the page. It will resume from where it crashed out at though.

            Have you folks made sure Adobe Flash is up to date if you're using a browser other than Chrome? Has anyone tried download the movie using Vudu-To-Go and then playback the movie? I wonder if the problem persists in this case. If someone is willing to try this and give me feedback that would be great.

              Flash is up to date, downloaded videos works just fine.. but the issue is that, when streaming, the stream just stops and goes black.

                  All movies and tv shows, random intervals but usually somewhere between every 3 to 10 minutes.. requiring a refresh of the browser page to start again. In the course of one 40 minute episode, (Firefly Episode 3) this happened 6 times.

                    Thought id throw this out there, I had the same problem last night when i tried vudu for the first time on my computer. I thought it was bad internet but it was fine. The movie would just stop playing every few minutes. then i tried to download the movie and it had me install Vudu To Go. And after that the problem went away. it now streams just fine. hope this helps. Good luck.

                      I have had this issue with multiple devices. I use to never have a problem with streaming but now it seems almost anything I purchase/rent stops and I have to close out the window (on PC) then re-open it to play again only for it to black out again, exit and re enter the app on the PS3, and on my LG blu-ray player, the movie will stop and the app locks up AND THEN it tells me I have to be connected to the internet to use the app in which case I end up having to set up the internet on my blu-ray player again. Every time I use VUDU it removes me from the internet. All other apps work fine but never VUDU. Connecting an ethernet cable to the blu-ray player does not help either. I still get the same problem on every device I have used.

                      From what I have read in some threads, customer service is of no help as the customers are put in a continuous circle on either it being on vudu's end or the internet provider.

                      My internet works great and the internet at work works great as well. I have never had the need to "download" any of the movies I have UV copies of to get it to work right. When I DID try it on the PS3, I still get the same problem.

                        The black screen issue is usually a PC issue. If it's happening on all devices on your network then this is something else entirely different. This is going to require customer care to take a closer look at your network and do some troubleshoot. Please contact customer care they can assist on diagnosing the problem.
