What type of television do you have; plasma? Do you watch a lot of pillarboxed content (i.e. 4:3)? It kind of looks like it could be caused from image retention.

Agreed. That definitely looks like screen burn-in to me and not something on VUDU's end.

What's the make and model of your television? Is the Vudu app you're using a TV app or are you using third party hardware; i.e. Roku, Gaming system, Blu-ray player, etc? If you have separate hardware how are the devices connected to one another. Can you try the Vudu app on another device and do you see the same issue?

On what titles have you seen this issue appear while streaming?

its a LG 55ga7900. Its a built in vudu app that I am using. No 3rd party hardware.

So far it has happened with elysium and captain phillips. Watching 40 year old virgin right now and its perfectly fine.

Don't see it on my S3

Is it reproduceable every time you watch Elysium and Captain Phillips? You've never noticed it outside the VUDU app?

no it is not replicated everytime. My son was watching Despicable me last night with no problems. I put it on again this morning and bam. Seems to be happening randomly. I did not change any tv settings between movies.

I'm not sure that we would be able to reproduce this. Please keep us posted on if you experience the issue outside of the VUDU application. Have you tried using the other apps on the TV as well?

It's also possible it could be a software issue with the television or that it has a bad panel/board/loose connection. Even though the television is only two weeks old I wouldn't rule it out.

We've watched Despicable Me on many ocassions on different devices and never notice an issue. Do you have another piece of hardware with the Vudu app that you can try to see if you're experiencing the same issue?

When you stated you don't see it on your S3 do you mean the Samsung Galaxy S3?

You might wan to check in this owner's thread to see if any other owner exhibits the same issue you're experencing.

It seems to only happen with the vudu app at random times. I have not seen it while watching regular tv,netflix, or amazon. i'll keep searching. thanks.
