Shared Ultraviolet account issue with 2 Vudu Accounts

I have a Vudu and UVVU account with my movies.

I added my brother as a user to my UVVU account.

My brother created a VUDU account and linked to my UVVU account.

    2 Issues:

1 - I had purchased "Frozen" through VUDU and it doesn't appear in my UVVU account, nor in his VUDU account when he signs in.

2 - He entered a UV code in his VUDU account, which shows in his VUDU account, but not in our "shared" UVVU account nor my VUDU account. So he can watch my videos, but I can't watch his.

Where are details on how the shared UVVU account works with VUDU, as it is not working how UVVU stated it should work through its providers?

Frozen is not enabled for UV at this time. Disney does not participate in the UV program. What is the other movie you're having trouble sharing between accounts?

Does that include Marvel Movies ( Thor, the Dark World and The Avengers)?
My brother-in-law and I have our accounts linked.

I also am having problem with shared accounts but I do no think that UV rights issues are the problem.

All the movies show up on my computer.
All of the movies showed up on my tv yesterday.
Today I added a movie to my account.
My husbands account is on the tv.
Now only his vudu movies show up on the tv today.
These are basically the free movies we acquired from vudu with some others.
None of my movies are showing up on the tv.
I am wondering if this is because we had to add the tv as a device to his account and all of a sudden it thinks I need that in my account?

Re: Shared Ultraviolet account issue with 2 Vudu Accounts

I am missing movies from my Vudu as well. I don't know if they are showing up on my friend's side.
I did check with Flixter, and they are all still in my UV locker safe and secure, just not showing up in the Shared Vudu.

Movies not showing up are :

              1. Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones
              2. The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey - Extended Edition
              3. Matchstick Men
              4. Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone
              5. Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets
              6. Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban
              7. Harry Potter Goblet of Fire
              8. Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix
              9. Harry Potter Half Blood Prince
              10. Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt. 1
              11. Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt. 2
              12. Pay it Forward
              13. Presumed innocent

              Thanks,
              Cinda

With a shared account, along with their UV movies, you will only have access to your movies/TV shows that you bought, redeemed or D2D via VUDU.

Any movies bought, redeemed or D2D that you did on other services (Flixster, CinemaNow, TargetTicket, etc.) will not show up in your VUDU account, EVEN if they are UV.

In my case, the movies I listed are mine that I have redeemed, purchased, or D2D. They have been visible, and watched, in Vudu and Flixster before the "Share". After the "Share" I cannot see them in "my" Vudu list, but they are still available to view through Flixster.

What service did you acquire the movies through?
If you used another service to get the movies and you are not the primary UVVU account holder in the sharing arrangement (you accepted an invite to share) it sounds like you won't see movies acquired through another service. They would have been in your Vudu account through ultravioletand now your Vudu account is linked to a different ultraviolet account.

I think this is only for people that accept an invite to share. The primary account should still have full access to their full ultraviolet locker. At least this is how I understand it.

Most are a mix of code redemption at the suggested web address, Vudu.com or were converted from the original disks through Walmart or the D2D app.

Paranormal activity- The marked ones - redeemed directly through Vudu
Harry Potter 1-8 - Redeemed via link provded in the set. (Wizard's Collection Set)
The Hobbit : An unexpected Journey Extended Edition - Redeemed directly through Vudu

The remaining ones, Pay it Forward, Matchstick Men and Presumed Innocent were promo gifted either through Vudu or Flixster.

Your thinking does make sense, I did accept an invitation from someone else and it had me create a new username which did create a second UV Locker.

Of those that transferred to the new locker, 11 were redeemed into my original UV locker through either Vudu or the links provided. Rest were D2D. However, my whole library, does show up in my original UV locker.

Its interesting how only part of my original UV locker got transferred to the new locker.

                          Hey Cinda,

Just curious. Were you the one whom invited your friend to share your UV Locker? Or did they invite you to share their locker?

I just called Vudu support, and per what they told me....

They said that if I invite a friend to share my locker, any of the UV compatible titles that are currently appear in my Vudu, will also appear on the person I invite's Vudu account, regardless of where the movie was redeemed (Flixster, etc).

This is true because the person that invites is not creating a new UV account, it's already existing.

Keep in mind that if you've already exported your movies to a UV account you won't be able to export them to a newly made account. Your original UV account will always own the UV rights.
