Vudu Forum Guidelines

The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information

    I opened a trouble ticket last night. It's been 24 hours and no one has responded to the trouble ticket. That's POOR customer service. So I'm going to post here in forum to see if I can get better customer support.

    Last night, 5/28/2014:
    Getting "Failed to connect to the network" from VUDU app on my Samsung BluRay Player. It has been working fine until now. My other app, NETFLIX, connects fine, and I used the network diagnostics on the Samsung player to confirm internet connection okay. Here's what the rest of the error message displays.

    More Info: Hardware ID: SAMBBC0100239951A555
    Device ID: 0x14ecd3, SW Build # : 87971

    What is the solution to this problem? Can you reset my VUDU app? Or can I reinstall the app (I don't see anyway to reinstall)?

      I replied to email I got from support@vudu.com but thought I would relay what the problem was here on the forum. Looks like Vudu is using port(s) other than port 80. I've got a new router/firewall and am blocking most non essential ports. I've asked in the email for what ports Vudu needs.

        Looks like Vudu needs port(s) between 5501 and 26999 (that's what the firewall is reporting).
