Unable to Start playback. Please try again later.

I have seen posts like this but no real solution. Basically I start a movie. After a about 15 mins into it I get this message. "Unable to start Playback. Please try again later. It pops up in a box in the middle of the screen and stays there while the movie plays in the background. I click ok, since you cant do anything else, and start the movie again. After about another 15mins it does it again. As the movie progresses it gets worse and starts to happen more frequently. I have done speed tests and so forth with them coming back excellent. My ISP is CenturyLink with 20mb Speeds. I use a Netgear N600 Wireless Router. Any assistance is appreciated.

    I also created a email ticket. 140813-000614

    Thanks!

    SOLVED

Just to add a bit of history. I was told to unplug my Roku 2 for a bit and see if that refreshes it. This didn't solve the problem either. I think was asked to give info like ISP, location, do a speed test, etc...

    Still nothing

The Error message I was getting was "Ultraviolet Account Required" Unable to start playback. Please contact customer support if the problem persists.

I gave up with dealing with the email support and ended up calling the 1800 number. I spoke with a gal named Hilary. She was VERY helpful. She was able to look up my email ticket and saw that I had been dealing with this back and forth by email. She was able to look at my account and determined that I had mix of import/export movies. (ones through Vudu as well as some from UV.

She suggested that I log into my Ultraviolet account and unlink it and relink it to refresh the link. She stayed on the line while I did this. She then even stayed on the line while I watched a good 15 - 20mins of the lego movie!

She was very helpful and I appreciate all she did.

    Thanks again Hilary.

I believe I figured out the solution. Since the message stated, "Ultraviolet Account Required" I started messing around with my ultraviolet account at UVVU.com. I logged into the site as the primary user, clicked on "user settings", scrolled all the way down to "linked services" and clicked on that, then went down to the "VUDU" listing and "unlinked" it. I then went back to the VUDU site and re-linked it to ultraviolet. I then tested the movies that I was having this problem with and everything was working properly. I believe the problem occurred when I added my most recent user to my ultraviolet account. It just needed to be relinked so it could refresh. I hope this works out for everybody else.
