Godzilla Bonus Features Showing in My Library

    Daniel,

If you are around I wondered if you could help me before I call customer support. I have a case open that is not getting much attention. My case number is 140828-000292. Here is a description so it may help someone else down the road.

I think Alyssa misunderstood what I was asking for. I don't care about Flixster or use Flixster for that matter. I use Vudu exclusively. I bought the UV only pre buy of Godzilla at Costco and I tried to redeem it at Vudu but the code wouldn't work. I HAD to redeem the code on Flixter.

I did so and was eager to see it show up on Vudu. I noticed at that time that the code included the bonus features but when the clips came across to Vudu it listed them all as individual entries in my library not the usual cover shot with bonus features as usual. This is not acceptable or efficient when browsing the library.

My request is for you to PLEASE PLEASE organize them for me so they are all under the normal "bonus features" option. Also, knowing this may happen, I will be buying my pre purchases from Walmart only. Please assist.

    Thanks, Casey

I am interested if this is possible, but I don't think it is. From my understanding, Flixster and Target Ticket redeem UV special features (when included) and TV episodes individually, not as a bundle or "season". Therefore, when they port over from UV, and into other providers such as Vudu, they are shown separately. The only way to get them bundled is to buy the bundle or redeem the code on Vudu. At this point Vudu can't just move them over. You would have to purchase the bundle from Vudu.

The Lego Movie did the same thing. I redeemed it on Target Ticket, because if you redeemed it there, you got the Special Features. Unfortunately, it ported them over separately. One example from a TV series is True Blood. If you redeem the UV copy on Target Ticket or Flixster, it does port over each episode to Vudu, but Vudu does not show that you own the season. It still shows the option to purchase the season for the full price, even though each episode shows owned. Every TV series I have redeemed elsewhere (there are only a few) end up this way.

I too wish it would work differently, but it all depends on how the movies are redeemed into your UV account.

I don't believe we'll be able to change the way they show up. I'm going to check with our content coordinator to see if this is what was intended.

Cool...would you be able to check on The Lego Movie as well? It did the same thing. Thanks Daniel.

            Daniel,

Maybe you can answer since it was mentioned in this thread... will vudu ever say "owned" for tv seasons where every individual episode is owned?

Some UV tv seasons are in my UV locker as complete seasons, some are individual episodes, I guess this must be determined by the studio. Now I only redeem UV tv seasons on vudu so it will show as owned

I do still have 2 tv seasons that would like me buy the season despite owning all the episodes but it isn't really something I'll ever do...

            Thank you for your insight!

              Thanks Daniel,

I am not sure why it would be difficult to change this? Couldn't your team just remove all the entries and re add the movie with bonus features to the account. Guess I am missing something systematically limiting. When you see these laid out in the library like this it almost makes it painful enough to want them removed. The different apps, etc. on devices are already hard enough to browse/organize to have this added clutter is frustrating.

              I am not bitter.

Also, if not possible I would definitely like to put this option on the "wanted" list.

For the time being, we won't be able to change this. If I delete them from your VUDU library, they will just import back to your account when the accounts sync.

Re: Godzilla Bonus Features Showing in My Library

I think for me since I rarely watch special features, if ever, I will watch them once then delete them from my UV account. Personally, I would rather not have them, opposed to having them show up as they do. This also only happens if you redeem a code or purchase a movie from a different provider and they have the special features as part of the purchase and they UV enabled. So far, there have not been many like this.

I purchased the HDX version of Godzilla 2014 and now none of the bonus features are showing up except for the 10 minute preview which is unnecessary since I have the entire film. I am new to using Vudu and am not totally familiar with it, but I have looked everywhere I can think of and, unless it's an additional purchase (which it doesn't look like it) then I am at a loss. I would like to get what I paid for or credit my card back please! Any help would be great!

Odds are highly likely that you purchased the Godzilla title that does not include Bonus Features. There are some purchases that include Bonus Features and they are clearly labeled on the title.

Godzilla that includes 10 minute preview: http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/534815/Godzilla

                          Mscott2469,

There are usually 2 different versions/options of the movies titles available. One will be just the feature movie and the other will be the feature movie and the bonus features. If you want the bonus features you have to make sure you purchase from the right option. Now, I personally do not like that there is a difference. In my opinion we should get the bonus features included in the price of the main movie.

Now, I have had this happen in the past and i submitted a ticket to Vudu and they credited me for the original purchase and had me re-buy the correct version. You might try this if you would like the bonus features.

                          Casey

P.S. Sorry Hen, didn't see your post for some reason.

                            Daniel,

What I would do then (if the movie was showing in my locker on the UVVU site) is remove it from there and have you re add it to my account so that it would show up correctly. Guess it would be nice if the UVVU site was up and functioning the way we all dream it will someday.
