Loss of Movies Anywhere titles that originally ported from Vudu

I signed up for MoviesAnywhere when it became available. Only 71% of my titles were eligible to port into the MA system from UV. Ok, what do you do when you've bought into the digital platform. So you shrug and take it since you love the digital portability.

So today I was trouble shooting an issue with Movies Anywhere about one title, when I noticed I was missing 100s of eligible titles I should have (and used to have). After looking at the missing numbers and doing the math, I now have only 38% of my Vudu titles on MA now. MA says its a known issue and Vudu needs to fix it. Sigh.

Anyone else run into the disappearing MA title bug yet? You can check your total title count via the MA roku app. Best to keep an active eye on the total count until Vudu gets this issue worked out. Disney Support said, "They are still listed but just not connecting anymore. This doesn't seem to be a hiccup with the accounts though as much as the way the transactions are being ported into us from VUDU." So moviesanywhere sees them in the system, but doesn't get the port flag from vudu to enable the titles and you lose access to your titles..

Yep, same here. I'm missing around 665 titles, put in a support request with VUDU that was basically ignored, but MA has been very responsive and communicative. No resolution yet, hopefully soon!

Just put together a list of the MA eligible titles I have by going to UVVU and filtering my library to show every provider but for Vudu. Copy and pasted those names into a text file and then checked them against my current MA title list.

Looking at my list of missing MA eligible titles: anything that wasn't redeemed on vudu (all other UV provider imports are now removed) and anything from the shared UV library not redeemed directly by me at Vudu have been removed from my MA library.

Remember all those times Vudu's old D2D program wouldn't read a disc and you had to go with cinemanow or flixster to convert those? All the box sets redeemed on flixster to separate them on Vudu as stand alone titles, instead of under a single icon, those are gone too. If Vudu is doing this purpose, its going to be a MA deal breaker for anyone that realizes it. Hopefully it is a bug, Vudu acknowledges it, and fixes it. Seen other users noticing the issue and complaining about it on other forums. I didn't check my MA account because I didn't think the "bug" was affecting me. Noticed an issue with my account yesterday because I went to watch a title in MA that I had and the title had suddenly vanished.

I noticed the exact same thing. In frustration I disconnected my Vudu account from my Ultraviolet account and my Vudu from Movies Anywhere and then reconnected to Movies Anywhere. I reconnected my Ultraviolet account and they still wouldn?t show up. I disconnected my Vudu account again from Movies Anywhere and when I tried to reconnect got an error message saying it would not link. I?ve now spent 24 hours trying to reconnect my Vudu account but it keeps failing. I used the Movies Anywhere live chat to try to solve the problem and the rep told me they are aware of the issue with connections to Vudu and it should hopefully be restored sometime this next week.

Opened a ticket about this last week, still haven't received any response from Vudu. Had been waiting forever for The Pacific to go on sale, finally did this past weekend, and I didn't buy it because of the unresolved disappearing title issue. Until Vudu either fixes the issue or acknowledges they are removing titles from libraries, I'm done spending any more cash on Vudu.

Called vudu support last night, since I opened a support ticket over 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard from Vudu about this issue once. Vudu support said this issue is caused by the studio's that didn't join movies anywhere. SMH.

So after going over it again and again with Vudu's phone support about how my account has 2400 titles, of those 1700 are UV/MA eligible, and currently Vudu is only exporting 900 titles to MA. To illustrate how well Vudu support understood the issue, he asked to send me an email explaining the issue. Attached is the email quote:

Vudu is currently the only partner retailer for both services which can allow the sharing of content from studios such as Fox, Sony, Warner Bros, and Universal between both MA and UV.

Currently, only UV supports television content and films distributed by Paramount and Lionsgate. These titles can be redeemed through a UV retailer and will transfer to your linked Vudu library, or libraries, if participating in the Share My Movies program. Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar titles are only supported via MA which can be shared to linked Vudu, iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon accounts; but, are not eligible for UV's Share My Movies program.
So I'm 3 weeks into this, MoviesAnywhere understands the issue. Says I need to wait on Vudu to figure it out and fix it. But Vudu support has zero clue about the issue when you open a ticket or call.

For connection problems between Vudu and Movies Anywhere, see this thread: https://forum.vudu.com/forum/technic...ng-as-a-result

Basically you need to call Movies Anywhere and tell them that you have been dealing with a broken connection between Vudu and MA. Movies Anywhere has the ability to unlink Vudu from MA but Vudu does not have this ability. CALL CALL CALL, do not email or chat, it's pointless.
