Yep. I can watch trailers fine but can't watch any movies though

All I get is playback errors including the trailers.

Update....if I have any issues now, they always show up as Network Error. Unable to stream this movie at the moment due to a network error. Please try again a little later

Most often I will select a title from my watch list to continue watching then click on resume on the pop up menu. Then the pop up menu goes away and I'm just sitting again at the watch list screen. If I click on see details, it takes me to what is supposed to be the title's main page but I only see the blue outline box.

After a few minutes (long enough for some background process to time out maybe?) I can try going back to the title's main page and all the correct information is displayed as normal. I click on resume and it appears to start loading but I get the network error message after 15 seconds or so

Oddly enough some titles play just fine

Any progress or something to update us with? It?s been 5 months since I?ve been able to use the LG Vudu app.

To anyone who can play trailers but not movies: please see if this resolves the issue - *physically* unplug the TV power cable, wait 30 seconds (this is important as well), then plug it back in.

I have an LG E7 at home and just experienced this issue. Quitting the Vudu app or turning off the TV via the power did not resolve it, but removing power did. This is likely because something with the low level firmware/DRM got in a bad state, and turning it off just goes into standby. The only way to completely reboot the TV is via power cycling (and waiting a bit until capacitors are discharged, etc). If power cycling does not fix it, it's most likely a different problem.

We have reported the issue and it is being actively investigated.

I have an LGC7 and can confirm having massive issues, basically all the same that have been reported when this thread started 4 months! ago. I'll try the re boot but what about all the other issues? Your offerings are great but you need to get this fixed man.

I have a 2016 LG OLED B6P. I can only play owned movies that are on the Home screen. I can't play from MyVudu/MyMovies menu. I can't search anything. This is soooo frustrating. I have 4K content that I can't enjoy. I done the power cycling thing to no avail. This is beyond ridiculous.

Five months and counting and still no fix.

I don?t want to sound like a broken record, but could someone at Vudu please just fix this issue? Seriously, 5 months is a stupid amount of time to have a known issue with a broken app and not fix it.

I have been watching this forum for months waiting PATIENTLY for this issue to be resolved. As another member said, five months is a long time for this issue to still remain unsolved with so many people reporting the same problems. The problem seems to be getting worse as well. Initially I had the same issues as everyone else with the LG smart tv, blank screens, can?t select anything, and can?t watch anything. I have since given up on the LG until I saw the issue resolved on this forum. Yet now the app on my Vizio smart tv has began to run more sluggish over time. I have to restart the app at times and restart content. Menus pull up slowly and content information lags behind as well. Content will start then freeze and go back to the main menu. When watching television series it always incurs a playback error between one episode to the next and you have to go through all the sluggish menu selections again to go to the next episode. I connected the tv via ethernet hoping that may alleviate the sluggishness to no avail. Yet my Netflix and Amazon apps work just fine on all televisions. As much money as I?ve spent on digital content that I can only watch on Vudu this is getting increasingly frustrating. I would quit using Vudu altogether if it wasn?t for the content I purchased and can only watch on Vudu. I used to praise Vudu and tell all my friends about it, not anymore. I would recommend to anyone to stay away now. In the past I would not even comsider buying a smart tv if it did not have a Vudu app. An organization as large as Walmart should have this issue resolved already and I will not be purchasing anymore content until I see that it is.

I finally got a fix on my LG oled E6. I had a Comcast rep come out and did some test on my Netgear Nighthawk cable modem and found out that it was not passing on my streams. They hooked one of there modem and Vudu started working again. So I bought a new Netgear and found out it still blocked my vudu stream but would allow everything else through. I finally ended up buying a Motorola cable modem and Vudu works flawless again. Except I cant get COCO 4k to play still but all other videos play

This is helpful information - were both of those Netgear modems model C7000? And you are saying they both had the same issue? Also - were you having issues with the app loading/displaying posters, etc, or just playback? In either case, I'll point this out for our QA to test out.

Yes, both were Netgear C7000 and both had same issue. Everything but Vudu work with that cable modem. Comcast installer recommended the Motorola MG7550 which i bought and works with Vudu. The other question was yes the poster displayed but playback of the movie was not playing. It would just show loading. So far COCO UHD will not load and Jumanji (2017) UHD as I know of

I'm glad you got your fixed ... now I'm waiting on Vudu to fix mine... I have an Arris.. which is a Motorola ... and I am having the exact same issue with the loading message and navigating Vudu is laggy and unresponsive... once I get a movie streaming it streams fine no buffering or anything
