    Walmart.com Instawatch not Working?

Is Instawatch via Walmart.com broken for anyone else? Walmart says titles are Instawatch and confirm on checkout, but they never show up in my VUDU account.

As usual, phone support wasn't able to do anything except "escalate" the ticket, where it's been sitting for over a week. FelipeF can you take a look?

I haven't used it recently but it has worked for me in the past. make sure your accounts are linked and using the same email address.

Nothing has changed on my account side. Everything was linked and working through the end of last year.

Purchases made in 2018 though are just not showing up on the VUDU side. Phone support has no idea what's wrong and can only confirm that my account is correctly linked and that the titles should be giving Instawatch, but they don't have any authority/ability to correct it. Phone support also said that the VUDU team doesn't have any insight or visibility into the Walmart.com system, so they can't easily troubleshoot technical issues, such as looking up the order and finding out where in the process it failed.

Basically, I'm wondering if this is a me thing (did my account somehow get screwed up) or it is a system wide thing that is going to impact anyone who purchases from Walmart.com right now?

The only way to tell for sure is to buy another Instawatch title as a test. If it doesn't work with another title then you know it is a problem with your account.

last two or three times I've tried to buy instawatch titles at walmart.com I received the blurays with the UV code in the case before anyone would to respond to my cases or as you said "escalate" the ticket - this was about a year or so ago, I haven't tried again.. ...... on the other hand it works for me every time I buy a bluray instawatch title in store. mostly I buy them from the Bluray Bin and scan my receipt and they transfer straight over immediately .... much easier..

That's exactly the issue I'm having right now. Walmart/VUDU won't let you scan a Walmart.com receipt for Instawatch, because the process is supposed to be automatic.

VUDU is great when everything works as intended, but when things break down it's quite frustrating as it seems there is little that support is actually allowed to do. This wouldn't be as annoying on the consumer side if a phone agent could simply pull up your order, verify that you were supposed to get Instawatch, and then grant the entitlement that should have been given, as opposed to running through a script that tells you to reboot your devices and see if that fixes the "issue" before they escalate it up.

I'll be honest, I've never quite understood how rebooting my device is going to have any effect on a Walmart.com system talking (or not talking as the case may be) to a VUDU system.

what I dont get is why it works perfectly when you scan a receipt but not when you purchase online..... its the same account... makes no sense, but oh well amazon has my business instead of walmart now.... and if I really need the digital instantly I just buy straight from vudu Disc + Digital... works for me...

I would buy straight from the VUDU storefront, but:

                1) VUDU does not have a shopping cart for Disc+Digital, so you have to pay $5.99 shipping for every title.
                2) VUDU only includes the most expensive version of the disc for Disc+Digital, which can often be more than the 4k disc w/Instawatch.

Honestly though, what frustrates me most is the lack of response for a basic customer service issue.

It's been more than two weeks since I made my purchase (and filed the initial ticket) and there has been no action taken other than "escalation." This should be an extremely straightforward action for even a Tier 1 CS agent.

                1) Did customer purchase from Walmart.com? (Verify in Walmart system)
                2) Were movies Instawatch? (Yes/No)

If the answer to both is yes, then the CS agent should file a Jira ticket and grant the missing entitlement based on the Walmart records. It's not like the agent would be giving away an additional license to the film.

I have heard that some people buying in the store have had problems recently due to a glitch. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. To protect yourself if it doesn't work, I would make sure to not open the case so you can return the title for a refund if it doesn't work.

FelipeF Jake Any idea if the Instawatch export from Walmart.com is fixed yet? It's been three weeks since I first filed a ticket and I haven't yet heard anything. My last chat with VUDU phone support ended up with the support person saying that Walmart -> VUDU "breaks a lot."

I've got some more movies that I've been planning on buying and wanted to make sure it was safe to purchase to get the Instawatch copies right away.

It's been a month since I purchased Instawatch films, and still nothing in my account.

Thanks for adding the Instawatch films FelipeF! Since you resolved the case, I'm going to assume that the Instawatch link to Walmart.com is also fixed. Cross your fingers, while I purchase more movies.
