    Error Code 5002

I recently purchased a movie and cannot seem to complete watching the movie without receiving an error code 5002 that states that another device has started playing the movie. I know that no other devices are playing the movie. When I restart the movie, it will run for a few minutes and kick out the error message again. Prior posts in this forum did not indicate a solution other than creating a new account, buying the movie again, and then seeking a refund - which is not something I desire to do. Has there been a fix to this issue? OS is Windows 10.

Since you are on Windows 10, could you try this on MS Edge browser? That may be a workaround for now...

I am having a similar issue. I get an Error "Another device on your account has started playing this movie. [#5002]" while trying to watch movies I have owned for some time. I removed all other devices from my account and changed the password. I am still having the same issue.

I have tested this with multiple movies at this point. They play for about a minute before stopping and giving the above mentioned error code. I am running Windows 10 Home version 1709, Build 16299.192. I am accessing Vudu.com with Google Chrome Version 64.0.3282.140 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I have been using this configuration for months with no problems. Today is the first time I have had an issue. Is the problem in the windows or chrome build? Or is it a problem with the new website? I had not had problems prior to the new website roll out, but have only used the new site once or twice in total.

I am currently attempting the MS Edge workaround, however there are reasons I prefer Google Chrome. A fix to this issue is very important to me.

As a side note, I do like the new website. The video player is much better, as is the overall feel of the site. My only complaint is that the "My Movies" section does not remember my sort settings. I prefer the "A-Z" sort to "Time of Purchases". Being able to set a default sort and filter set was a nice feature of the old site. However it is a relatively minor thing.

PS, the MS Edge workaround does seam to be working for me.

I have the same issue. Our TV is currently out of commission so we are using our computers. I have two laptops, Macbook Pro (10.11.6) and a Dell Windows 10 Pro (10.0.16299). I tried this with with Safari, Chrome, Firefox on the Macbook Pro, and Edge, Chome, Firefox on the Windows 10 Pro machine. It happens reliably about every 4 minutes. It even happens when its paused. My ISP is Verizon FiOS. I have not tried it out of my house, I will tomorrow. I did reboot the router. I also called Vudu support and he cleared all the sessions on the account, and I also deleted all devices, and reset the password. The 5002 error seemed to trigger a reaction and he just kinda was like oh yea thats an issue engineering is working on it... that was at least a week ago... so clearly this can't be widespread or else Vudu would be out of business by now. Support recommended using the VuduToGo app, but that only works for purchased content... anyway... for what its worth.

I thought I testing it on Windows 10 Pro Edge, but just to be sure I tried it again, and that appears to be working... but I would rather use the Mac...

I'm having the same problem, all 3 primary browsers, IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox. This is really starting to **** me off since I can't really watch my library. Clearly Vudu did something with an update that broke this. How about at least "we're aware and working on it" instead of blowing this off as a browser problem, which it clearly is not.
